No, that's not it, but having never seen that movie, that line is still funny to me.
I hope you are ready for what I have to tell you, cause quite simply it will blow your mind, the truth that is, and it has been right in front of our collective noses, here goes.
The Serenity theme, at first I thought it was corny, as hell, but the more I listened to it, the more I liked it, now that i've learned the lyrics, it's just too damn difficult to sing, I get choked up. That's when the truth of it all came to me like a needle into my brain...

Hm, not sure I agree with that. Perhaps, Joss is River and tried to explain something to us and in the process we are now tending toward River. This might then given the illusion that Joss is Blue Sun, but he's not. That would be F*X, as look what they did to him.
