are you all right apart from the lack of glasses though?
I worked in a pub in south east london (um, not as scary as it sounds, was more like south east greenwich, which is kittens compared) but even there I saw so many fights break out for the flimsiest of reasons, even even between guys who had been friends for years, I think the stupidest one I saw was one guy ordered when the other guy wanted to, fists flew.
I think what i'm attempting to say is that, probably wasn't even something you said.
hope you get new eyes soon.

I've still got my contacts, so I can see, I'll be down the optiations to fix my glasses soon though.
I saw the guy today though and he couldn't be more apologetic, he said he'd had a really bad day, went out to get drunk thought he was okay but his button switched to 'mental patient' (he wasn't using it as an excuse though). He's offered to pay for the repairs to my glasses and he owes me a drink so it's all dealt with.
