Soul and Jazaf talk for a moment longer, and then say their goodbyes. Soul turns to retrieve the ring from the ledge behind him, and--
The ring is gone!
It takes a moment for it to sink in. Soul stares at the spot where the ring was, and then begins to slowly look around the ledge, thinking it simply fell off. Not finding it, he begins to get a bit frantic. Sure, he could get more platinum, but the diamond was the only one Rat had. Finally, after searching all around the area, and even getting help from Jazaf, Soul stands in realization.
Someone has stolen the ring! But who?
