How'd you do that so fast? I thought you had dial-up.
Well, just look what dogs can do, that's a much more pleasant thing to make a lot of money with, you know, if you want a contortionist recipe for success.

Yes but then you'd have to spend time on those uniquely disturbing television interview programs to show off this unique talent.

Quote:Ah, bliss. How did I miss that? It's one of my favorites.
I think science is just a breath away from capturing the unifying theory of everydarn thing. Then we will understand from a left brain perspective that everything really is 'one' on the most fundamental level, and we'll decide to stop kicking the crap out of each other and the planet in general.

It also sounds exactly like what they were saying at the end of the 19th century... Then Einstien came along and screwed all that up...

Signy, maybe you were too busy defending yourself against some of the personal attacks in this thread to remember
Citizen, too bad Einstein didn't figure out where he went wrong with the math, because I think he pretty much got the other idea... check this out from the big E "A human being is part of the whole, called by us 'universe', a part limited in time and space. He experiences his thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest - a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a prison for us, restricting us to our personal decisions and to affection for a few persons nearest us." Maybe some percentage of the species needs to have rethought the perception of consciousness to move from the illusion of 'separate' before we can see things from the next perspective. I'm just sayin' I think we're close, I think we get to be there for this paradigm shift. Wouldn't that be fun?

Quote:Well, that didn't take long. I had hoped to see more personal, real life comments here, instead of the standard political rhetoric.

Quote:Not these guys. You haven’t seen tough until you’ve seen a Detroit longshoreman or a railroad worker in zero degree weather with ice hanging from their faces. These guys’ balls are frozen solid.
