That’s your opinion, for all its worth. I was wondering which of you was going to make the first personal attack.

Oh, he's so full of manure, that man! We could lay him in the dirt and grow another one just like him.

Dreamtrove: I like your dream about respecting Mother Earth. Although I'm not sure we should be respecting her so much as fearing her. After all, this IS "lifeboat earth".

Iraq vs New York, I'm willing to bet that Iraqis are more prepared to fight a war than most New Yorkers...

More insane ramblings by the people who brought you beeeer milkshakes!
You should never give powers to a leader you like that you’d hate to have given to a leader you fear

Perhaps emotionally, but not physically. New Yorkers are much better organized with a large amount of international connections. But this is a hypothetical, and if it goes any further the NSA is going to inform the president to attack New York.

Yeah, I know, never gonna happen, but I can dream.

No offence, and I mean that, but that sounds so incredibly depressing boring I think it would defeat itself almost immediately.

Actually, that is my most sincere personal wish for a better world. I have posted about it many times. It came to me literally in a dream, and it was so convincing it was like a conversion. That's why I don't think of it as political - it's more like religious. Except without god.

I agree, it is a personal belief. It is also a real life comment. I was just saying that because, well, if you read above you knew it was coming any time someone said something that was actually deeply personal.

Since I said it instead of waiting for someone else I imediately got to tag it with, "Not to be taken seriously," in the next post.

Yeah, but what about Iraq vs Detroit? There’s some burley no-shit-taking guys in Detroit.

Crap, how'd this thread about the shiny get so ugly. Guys?

In my favorite dreams, abstractions, fantasies, cherished desires and imaginative thoughts, I think science is just a breath away from capturing the unifying theory of everydarn thing. Then we will understand from a left brain perspective that everything really is 'one' on the most fundamental level, and we'll decide to stop kicking the crap out of each other and the planet in general. On that happy note.....

Shiny Trees! Yavanna made Shiny Trees!
Aztecs used the term firefly metaphorically, meaning a spark of knowledge in a world of ignorance or darkness.
