Ok I do phone tech support for fisherman, to help them with their electronic sonars, I had a call from a gentleman with a very "Niska" accent. And I was expecting him to start talking about "gossip & solid reputations" Then I had the vision of a guy hanging upside down, then the vision of it not being me.

what can I say I gots Firefly on the brain 24-7

Also watching my new LOTR dvd last night I couldn't help but start pining for December and the "shiny" Firefly dvd set.

I was watching Two Guys and a Girl as usual, but it was one of the early eps so Nate wasn't there yet, but anyway, Pete said something like "Sorry to ruin your Shindig." and I'm just like "tehe, Pete said shindig" and then like a few seconds later, Sharon is threatening Berg with a ladel and says things like "are you willing to risk the ladel?" and it reminded me of Alan Tudyk's monologue in 28 Days about the fork in the road or the ladel in the road. And of course Alan Tudyk brings me back to Firefly.

Also yesturday I went to a waterpark with my friend and she was talking about what she would say at my funeral if I got hit with the golf cart, so I just had to recite Wash's "here lie my beloved Zoe" line.

I came across a "Captain Spandex" font today.

One of the Enterprise reruns that aired last night was where an alien freighter captain turned bounty hunter came thisclose to turning Archer over to the Klingons. Why? So he could get enough money together to get his ship back, of course. I didn't watch it this time, but I read the synopsis in the TVGuide, smiled and thought to myself, "That's exactly what Mal would do."

And now it occurs to me that what he could do, theoretically, is turn in Simon and River...suddenly I'm not so happy about that.

My new kitten Simon (so named because he adopted me and had no clue what he was in for) often calls out when he can't see me.

Simon: Meow!
ME: I'm sitting right here.
Simon: Meow!
ME: That's cuz I'm sitting right here.

I was talking to someone the other day and they said they had been looking for a job for three months, all I could think of was

"Anyone who can't find work ain't looking hard enough"

So glad someone brought life to the page today.

these made me laugh out loud in the office and get weird looks from co-workers - good on you!

"I'm going to the special hell"

the 10 things are a must read.

I caught Samurai Jack on the Cartoon Network the last couple of nights. Wednesday's ep had him entering a saloon on a Star Wars-like space western planet and striking a deal with a smarmy little Mexican-ish dude. I say Star Wars-like because there were guys in cowboy hats riding dinosaurs. At any rate, I couldn't help thinking somebody's been watching Firefly and taking notes.

My 1 1/2 year old boy was dancing to music performed by "The Wiggles" when he took a header into the coffee table and opened up his brow. My wife and I took him to the emergency room, of course, and the doctor who gave him his two stitches was wearing blue gloves! BTW, My boy's doin' just fine. He handled the whole thing better than my wife and I.

Viva Firefly!
