This was truly awful. I like artish movies sometimes, but this was go-se. Just looking for someone to share my misery with.

I agree that it was strange. I wouldnt say it totally made no sense because I do understand the boring plot: dorky man with seven harpy sisters who constantly bitch at him manufactures and sells plungers. He is socially inept but some chick likes him and they get together. The end.

But what did that little piano have to do with anything? Really?

By the end I was so bored, I wanted to poke pencils in my eyes. And I LOOOOOOVE movies and films.

Yeah, if someone could please explain the significance of the piano and the car wreck, I would appreciate it!

The basic premise of the movie I understood... I just want to know what the hell the POINT was!

==============================================
Mal: You are very much lacking in imagination.
Zoe: I imagine that's so, sir.

well, this is my take. based partly on some things I've read about the film. bt also on my own thoughts.

the car crash is like a wake up call to Barry, pulling him outside of his closed off life(symbolized there by his office) and into the world.

finding, fixing, and learning the harmonium symbolizes him finding, fixing, and learning to use his heart.

Barry buying and wearing the blue suit symbolizes him preparing and wanting positive change in his life!

And buying all the pudding for the airline miles is what he does to help enact these changes in his life.

Keep Flying!
