Oh I get how big the US is, im not a dimwit, despite some of the crap that trips off my tongue.
You can fit..what is it? five UK's into NY state alone? or am I in the wrong state, never mind, I know exactly how big America is. I think my problem is I have the Oz-from-Buffy sarcastic/jokey tone, its not so different from my normal tone. I know that it would be impossible for Safe to get to Atlanta (thnk of the poor dogs!)
And please don't take this personal but don't call me a European. I'm English or British, we share a continental plate and thats about it.

Seryn I don't mean to give you a hard time, but Eurpeans often have difficulty grasping the literal scale of the USA and Canada.
That's true of most. I remember when I went to Australia some old guy talking about the idiots who thought Sydney to Melbourne was a couple of hours drive.
Luckilly I could read a map
.More insane ramblings by the people who brought you beeeer milkshakes!
The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four persons is suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best friends -- if they're okay, then it's you.

I once drove from CA to MD, but in a very NOT straight line. Well, my mom did the driving, I was 8. We drove EVERYWHERE, saw all the sights. Drove through Canada in several spots. Saw Niagra Falls on both sides. Hit nearly all the continental states.
The US is big.

I did something similar. Drove from Ontario to British Columbia. Took a week.
I'll tell you, driving through Saskatchewan is boooring. Very flat.

What I remember about Saskatchewan is the cornfields. Endless cornfields. And we stopped at a Pizza Hut somewhere and I thought it was cool that they still had Pizza Huts in Canada. (I was 8, remember?)

Yum! shirley temples and marachino cherries!
When I waited tables, I'd spent the whole slow lunch shift in the bar guzzling shirley temples. Oh so good!
