*doesn't like sticky buns or cinnamon rolls*
Though you did forget to discribe the best part. I used to work at a bakery that made them. At the bottom of the pan you make a schmear with cinnamon and brownsugar and whatnot, then you add the dough that you've rolled up with cinnamon and then sliced into swirly rounds. So when it's all baked up, you invert the rolls and the schmear is all goey on top. It's lovely. Even if I don't like to eat them, they're pretty and nice to look at. And VERY messy.
Some people eat them with a white icing and I think that's even worse than the schmear.

we do get them here, though they are all doused in white icing and I have to admit I haven't seen any bakery's round here selling them. (there are very few real bakery's left in this area, they're all chains selling the same stuff as all the others)
I shall have to go look see, though I'm getting more and more excited about september, and not just for con-type reasons.

I must persnickity (sp?) and insist that the sticky buns at King Arthur are no ordinary cinnamon bun. Flaky and buttery and all good with the crispy brown sugar and cinnamon stuff. I could just write a poem...
Ode to the mighty King Arthur sticky bun

OK, don't be afraid, I'm stopping.
Seryn - what's exciting about september?

Dragon Con in Atlanta. I'm doing everything I possibly bloody can to make sure I'm there.
Then about a week after I get back there S3 in London. September is officially becoming my favorite month ever.

no i've never been to one before, I have to admit that before now the idea horrified me (visions of a thousand comic-store-guy-from-the-simpsons's all fighting to ask ridiculously technical questions swimming through my head)
Yey you, so depending on when you turned the computer off, have a great journey home, or hope you had a great journey home.
its all good.
(now I have vision of aformentioned scene, with Joss answering, 'well, they knew of this guy called Nathan, and his powerful bad turnip odour...')

well, there are lots of simpson's comic book guys, but there are lots of others, too. Cute others and crazy others and goth others, and best of all, BROWNCOAT others. Easily discernable by their cunning orange hats, their vernacular ("Shiny!" "Tao de mah!" and their singing ("You can't take the sky from me!!"

No cinnabons? there's one near Dragon*con. Ah well, they can be too sweet. Sept, is a great month. I'm so looking forward to D*C to hang out with all my favourite Browncoats that I've met , and meet some of my favourites that I know on this board but haven't yet met.
We should do more Browncoaty things before then though. there are enough 'coats around the carolinas and VA to do something.
