Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!

For those still in doubt I did a background check on the name 'Ace Underhill' and there is indeed a person that goes by that name that works in the industry. I'm not going to say who he works for and whom he has worked for in the past as he might feel that is information he wants to be kept private.
But this doesn't seem like a scam as in his posts he knows what he is talking about and his background checks out as far as to what he is claiming he can do.
The only think that can be said negatively about this whole thing is that it came out way to prematurely before any deals have been made or even Whedon being consulted but I pretty sure if it has been tossed around the fansites the past few days then Whedon knows about it.
Plus, I know Chris Buchanan frequents the boards and posts regularly on the OB and would have posted something by now if the fans were being taken for a scam. At least I would hope.
Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

Once again, everyone get up to speed and then make your own decisions.

Keep in mind, that the plan is as follows: To secure the rights, film two episodes, and then shop them around to networks in hopes of getting picked up, with FOX having the right of first refusal.
Keep in mind, that we already have more than a dozen episodes and a major motion picture, of which any and every network and studio is already aware.
So, the question becomes: Why, exactly, do we need another pilot?

Another pilot is pretty much necessary - Season 1 ended abruptly, with not much getting resolved to smoothly continue a series. The BDM resolved too much - the 2nd pilot would have to introduce some new elements and/or bad guys (to replace reavers). Oh, and how can we forget crew alteration (well... elimination, but yeah...).

Cynical much?
