Thank you for this new information. Regardless of what happens from here on out, it is encouraging that people are taking notice of the Browncoats, and of the amazing furvor and excitement spread throughout our boards and websites. Yay!

Mmmm… Much as I’d love to see the verse return sooner rather than later, I’d consider myself very much a skeptic at this point. I do know just how easy it is to be considered a production company in LA. There is a very large span between being an outright scam ..... And truly having the where-with-all to bring a project to fruition. I encourage everyone to at the very least, to view this with a very cautious optimism.

Here are my biggest concerns with anyone other than a major player attempting to put this deal together; under capitalization and lack of sufficient resources. Ventures that pursue a project, and are not able to bring all the pieces together will basically muddy the waters for others that can really make the deal happen. I’ve seen it happen way too many times.

My other concern it that trying to put the deal together without having the principals fully onboard prior to attempting to secure intellectual property rights is… well, very frankly “putting the cart before the horse”.

I figure that there is a very significant window of opportunity here with Firefly that will last for about the next six months. At which point the deal may still be doable, but will be harder. It’s all a momentum issue.

Ace, all I’ve gotta say is whatever you do, please don’t screw this up so that if it fails, you’ve basically made attempts by any other groups that follow you twice as difficult to do!

Beware all, just be very cautious!! I think ANY plan that is not sufficiently capitalized to commit to at least another say 13 episodes needs to just sit it out for now and stay out of the way of other suitors.

Guys we will get only one shot at resurrecting our beloved Firefly as a series. Lets make sure that that shot gets taken with “Vera” and not a Derringer.

Ok, I’ve spoken my piece and sure hope it’s at some level heeded.

Which is what happens when someone signs up for a board one day and then less than 24 hours later up and announces he's going to go use its pre-exisitng chat room, which has a pre-existing culture, and which is already populated by people 24/7, for his own little personal press conference.

Someone really needs to make a tally sheet of all the missteps Underhill has made in the last week. They, more than anything else, should be making people skeptically wary.

My personal favourite: Posting the initial informations himself under a fake account (!) and claiming later that he was surprised of it being posted in the first place.

This whole things is ridiculous, to put it mildly. If this is an atempt at viral marketing, it's the worst I've seen.

A lot of fans want to be Firefly's Champion when there's only one person who can do it, should do it, Joss Whedon. He'll know when it's the right time. Until then, do what fans can do better than even the best Hollywood production company: buy the dvds and share them with everyone you can.
