Interesting development over at Amazon.com concerning the Firefly: Complete Series DVD set.

Instead of the standard OUT OF STOCK message that has been appearing since pre-order for the Firefly DVD was cancelled, the message now reads:

Availability: NOT YET RELEASED: The studio is currently not producing this title on DVD, but to be notified when it is available, enter your e-mail address at right. You'll also be voting for this release; we'll let the studio know how many customers are waiting for this title.

Also, you can still preorder Firefly from Amazon.ca. I think it might even be a bit cheaper, after you do that conversion from Canadian.

what a.....grrrr

don't they realize how serious we are by the fact that when it was first released it was briefly outselling the lord of the rings dvds for that day? it didn't start dropping so low until Amazon.com put it as Out Of Stock. I'll sign, and get other people to sign as well, but sheesh, i think the amount that was already pre-ordered should say how serious we are about wanting this box set.

My vote has been cast, I hope the gorram DVD's do get made/sold, as I am missing several episodes.
And this is one tangible way to measure financial and numerical support for a great show.
