Firefly reactions: What did people say when you introduced them to our 'Verse?

I'm sure each of us has shared a Firefly episode or two with friends. So what kind of reactions did you get.

For example.. "I had on friend who got mad after his fourth episode because he was like, so now you get me hooked on this show and it's no longer on the air."

Another said, "When was this show on???"

Another said, "This is just like cowboy bebop"

Another said, "It's Caleb!"

So any other thoughts to share?

I was telling my freind about it, and then showed him some pictures I printed out, and he summed it all up:

"Looks like a good show!"

"But it will still be there... Waiting..."

"I've seen five episodes already, why does everyone look... humanoid? Where are the aliens?"

Dammit, you got me hooked on a show they cancelled ? you evil B*TCH, ::whapwhapwhap::..

And that was off the premiere alone, I fended off the assault with a few more eps on VHS, but gorramit.. I WANT MY DVDS...

For the first person I tried to get hooked I made a tape of all the US shown episodes and let her watch it on her own. Saw her a few days later and was joking around and made her (playfully) mad at me. So she pipes off with, "I swear by my pretty floral bonnet, I will end you". Later she threatened her husband with a special Hell. He's hooked now, too. :)
