...Some serious rebound intrigue between Mal and Zoey (crazy Wash fans don't throw tomatos at me!) leading to bizzare love triangle tension with Inara.

Also a new character named ETHAN will come aboard and hook up with River. Of course Simon will be concerned but he's the next character to bite it.

Anyone else have private hopes that are a little on the wacky fun side?

Yeah definately someone should be introduced as a romantic interest for River; it would be interesting to see how her character develops and what it would do to the extremely close relationship between her and Simon. Then, after we've seen all that, if someone has to die, it can be the new guy, coz I haven't got to know him yet so I don't care :P

I'm really interested to see how Zoe takes the loss of Wash. She's experienced with loss with the war and all, but nothing liking losing the man she loves. So, will she clam up and become a bit of an outcast? or will she try to act like nothing big has happened and be slowly dying alone inside? or will she grow closer to another character and use them for emotional support (my guess would be Inara or Mal, most likely Mal).

Also, something I think would be cool would be to have some kind of Martial Arts expert join, if only for a little while, for 3 reasons:
1) He/she could be Chinese so we'd have our first Oriental on the crew.
2) He/she and River could practice moves togther and he/she can teach her new moves and the spiritual side of the Arts. I really think that that could be a nice outlet for River (I can see those games the rest of the crew play in the cargo hold getting a bit mundane for super-intelligent, "I know what you're gonna do next" River.)
3) And of course, with two fighting machines on board, plus Mal, Zoe and Jayne, the fight-scene possibilities are endless. Bring on the wirl of fists and feet and cool double-team action!!! *drool*

Of course, there are many, many more things I'd like to see in the BDS, but I'll stop now before I get carried away.

Yeah a Martial arts character... meybe Michelle Yeoh.. and she could have been a "friend" of Book's... and then we could get some Book Back story too...

And Mal and Inara with tension.. I like that...

Mal and Jayne having a pullup competition...

It's gotta be about the Blue Sun, maybe River starts going crazy(er) and they need to find out more about her to stop her dying. Then maybe they could introduce more River-like people, maybe experiments gone wrong...

I think they should not call this Sernity 2 (or Serenity II). It should be Serenity: Subtitle. Reasons:

1) Not everyone has heard of Serenity. So people would be put off seeing a sequel to a film they never saw.
2) People said they thought Serenity sounded like a chick flick. So whack on a dark sci-fiesque subtitle and that problem would be sorted.

Hitting two birds with one stone, excellent. Not sure what the subtitle would be though.

Yeah it would be interesting to see how the "family" would help her get through this.
