How about Yolanda, or Saffron?
Yolanda River would sound better than the reverse.
River Saffron also sounds good.
Though to be honest whatever name you choose to go with 'River', you'll probably meet someone in the future who's grown up next to an actually river by that name

I was also named samantha after the character on bewitched! as a side note it hasnt caused me any trauma. I like River Mei Sherwood. And hey you cant do any worse for your kid that what nicolas cage jsut named his son! (cant remember the name but it was superman related.)

thanks for the compliment on my last name. I was so happy when I got to take my husband's name when I was married. My maiden name was Seamans, so you can imagine what it was like in Junior High. I'm thinking of Roland Thomas for a boy. I won't find out if the baby is boy or girl until around valentine's day, during the 20 week scan.So,I have a long wait ahead. By the way, the little boy named Calvin is incredibly cute! :)

I like River Kaywinnet. And who cares if she is named after a tv show character?
I was named after a movie character who was raped and became pregnant with the rapists child. Yea, mom loved the movie and the character, and it was a terribly hot summer, and she didn't want to think any more.
