... I turned on the TV, and "Two Guys and a Girl" was on. I never really watched the show, but always liked the blonde on the show...
... ANYWAY, before I could change the channel, Mal was asking the blonde for the engagement ring back, since she wasn't going to marry him, and he wanted to get his snowblower out of hock before winter ...
... also, a couple days ago Blast From the Past was on, and saw him again.

Mal: You are very much lacking in imagination.
Zoe: I imagine that's so, sir.

only every gorram minute of the day, but in particular the latest Tracy Chapman tune brought Jayne to mind. Particularly the third verse.
Some say you’re crazy
Say that you’re no good
But I think you’re cute and misunderstood
And I wouldn’t change you if I could
[bold]Chorus[/bold]
Let’em talk you down, call you names
My mind's made up, it ain't gonna change
I’m sure in my heart, happy and free
you're the one, you're the one
you're the one for me.
Some say you’re bitter
Think you’re mean
Uncouth untamed and unrestrained
But I think you’re sensitive and sweet
Stay as you are don’t change a thing
Some say you’re bawdy
Wicked and wild
A restless useless juvenile
But I think you’re funny and I like your smile
Want to be with you want you to stay awhile
A no ‘count mixed up Amount to nothing
A day away from a bum on the street
Some low class kind of royalty
That’s what they say about you
When they’re talking to me
Some say you’re bad
A bad bad seed
You love to play with fire you love gambling
But I know what you love and I know what you need
And I like it when you play with me
Say, has anyone done a vid of this yet?
I found the way, by the sound of your voice--so many things to say.
These are only words. Now I've only words. Once there was a choice.

The Gorram ants are getting to them before we do so far. Tried poison so far....next step is hot pepper and cedar mulch.

Have any of you seen that commercial, it's for some kind of pain killer, I want to say excedrin. But anyway, there's this lady who does it, and I've seen it possibly a dozen times, and everytime I saw, I kept thinking to myself, "I've seen that woman somewhere." I just couldn't remember. Then, it finally hit me. It was that black woman, the woman who cried witch in Safe. I felt so relieved once I figured that out.
Also, I don't know why, but on the cover of this book, "The Watcher," there's a picture of this girl who reminds me of River. And also the girl on the cover of the CD, "Gutterflower," The Goo Goo Dolls, reminds me of our favorite psychic/psychotic girl in the 'verse.

I've been lurking on this board for a while now and I couldn't help posting after reading everyone else's posts. So let's see. Gina Torres was a hooker in an old episode of Law and Order. The guy who was Jubel Early in Objects in Space is a prosecuter in the old episodes of Law and Order. There's a Doctor Tam's office that I pass by every day when I go to work. Anytime anyone says the word shindig or shiny, no matter what the context. Oh yeah and yesterday I got to say "that's a recipe for unpleasantness" and I was real excited.
Ha ha ha. Mine is an evil laugh.

I was looking through Richard Bolles' What Color is Your Parachute? in part of that book's systematic approach to job-hunting. No, I don't hate my job. I think of my future. Anyway, I started to consider the type of place I would like to work in. When I saw the list of possibilities, I couldn't help but think of the scene in "Out of Gas" when we find out how Jayne became part of Serenity's crew.

It's June, and as I walk the dog after dark every evening - the trees are full of FIREFLYs. Sheer magic!

I showed the pilot and train job to 3 friends a few days ago, and when I went to work the other night they got on my computer and watched the next 3. One guy was singing when I woke up this morning "take my love, take my land..." and another told me he can't stop laughing at the the scene in shindig with badger talking to mal and jayne, where Badger talks about having tickets and is mistaken for saying balls. Hi-larious.
