Buffy spinoff

What ever happened to the impending Buffy spin-off other than Angel i mean. Come on this is ridiculous no whedon on t.v that's just wrong

Firstly, which proposed spin-off? There have been a number of them.
I know that when they cancelled ANGEL the WB offered a series of TV movies to continue the story. Joss was initially reluctant but then he came to realize the teleflicks could let him tell the stories of other major Buffyverse characters, so he became really interested. Four names floating around for a while are Spike, Willow, Giles, and Faith—each to head their own TV movie. Lately that’s been paired down to a single film centered around Spike, which for a variety of reasons has the best chance of getting made and Joss seems very interested in getting it made. Other characters from Buffy and Angel will no doubt turn up in it, though the specifics may depend on actor availability (I’m personally hoping for more Illyria). There have been no official announcements, but the actors are all for it, Tim Minear has agreed to write and possibly direct, and the word so far is still rather good. That’s a brief little summary for you.

oh yeah but please give me a date or a rough approximate timetable. I'd love to see more Willow too. But really another series would be the dog's ballocks so i still pine for that.

An approx timetable would be nice, I agree. But it probably won't be until after James Marster has finished with his other filming commitments (ie smallville).
Also feel that no Joss on tv is wrong. nothing to watch now. am left with dvd's. nothing new 
jamesmarsters.com might have some info about any filming on a "buffy" tv movie under his bio section if he is to appear in one either as a cameo apperance or as feature character. haven't seen anything yet though.

James Marsters is on Smallville. Whoa i might have to check it out. He is such a trip i love watching him preform.

so do I. I'm having to wait for the box sets of smallville as I don't think it airs on free tv in Australia. At least in Adelaide.

a few years ago it was sposed to be pretty definate that there was to be a giles series set in england, called watcher and co made by the bbc. I even thought it had begun being made or at least written at one point, but I may have made that bit up.
anyone know what happened to that project?
