No, you got Battlestar Galactica S1 like a year before we did.
And Dark Angel, anamorphic *tears form in the corners of his eyes*

Ok so you get all the shows except one before us... And since I didn't see the first episode of BG I didn't watch it at all so it doesn't count anyway ;)

No BG?? Shirley you jest!
It's really good. Not 'Firefly' good, and despite what you hear, it's not 'Buffy' good, but it's well worth the money to buy it! It is one of the best shows going, easily as good as ST Deep Space 9, maybe better.
Okay, so we luck out on the timing, but I'd trade that for anamorphic any day.

I live in the UK and I own all BUFFY and ANGEL
on American REGION 1 DVD.
60hz is the way it was made.
Why watch it at 50hz running at the wrong
speed, 4% speeded up in stupid Region 2 ?
BUFFY on REGION 1 is correctly in 4:3 as
Joss intended it to be.
The American discs are excellent the only
complaint I have is that they should have
done ONCE MORE WITH FEELING in anamorphic.
But at least the singing is not chipmunks
like on the 50hz Region 2 due to 4% speed up!

Hmmm. Good points.

Thank you.
Furthermore in the case of FIREFLY my Region 1 discs give me on my Pioneer progressive scan DVD playing into my LCD projector in-camera 24 frame rate quality.
FIREFLY unlike ANGEL is true progressive scan as it clearly was shot film then posted HD in 24frame. You cannot reproduce this in R2 50hz. The closest you can get with R2 discs is 25 frame never the original 24 frame of the in-camera shoot.
When I watch ANGEL I switch the progressive scan off as ANGEL must have been posted 30fps for the visual FX. The image on ANGEL is clearer in interlaced than progessive but FIREFLY is true progressive scan on Region 1 in 24 frame.

Wow, you know your stuff.
Do you know how to fix a leaky intercoupling grav boot? It's irritatin' the crap outta me during landings....
Chrisisall, learning more about progressive scan all the time

No but I have a couple of friends who probably
could figure out a grav-boot. Plus there is
always that Canadian-Indian gal who likely
saw the problem while on her back.
The sex must have been really what she was
looking for...not!
That first mechanic Mal hired was lousy with
both the anatomy of ships and women!!

I thought the UK only aired sped-up versions of American shows on TV...
at least now I know not to get Buffy Season 4-7 from the UK...
Joss must not have a widescreen HDTV... anamorphic discs look better than the 4:3 shows... when I switch back and forth between Buffy S6 and Angel S3, there is a difference in quality (very slight) and why isn't "Once More With Feeling" in anamorphic widescreen?
I hope Buffy is rereleased in HD-DVD or Blu-Ray cuz I'm buying those, if they're in widescreen.
