Hey Needy,
Just read your Serenity evening summary and looked at the pics--awesome pics! Nathan is just as handsome in person, and I think Inara looks way more lovable and believably cute without makeup (and yes, thinner, I hear the screen adds ten pounds...) Sorry it was such a stressful evening! But you're so lucky 'cause the rest of us aren't going to have pre-movie messages or special guests on opening night.
Serenity--I feel just the way you do! Thank you for turning Bubbles into a preacher. Much more self-respecting profession. Sorry Inara, Needy.

Yeah Morena did look thinner I suppose (I didn't really think about it 'til my dad mentioend it) though one of those pics, must have been taken at a weird angle or in bad light as she looks a bit... strange? Maybe that's not the right word because it sounds almost derogatory, but I mean she looks abnormally thin but didn't look that way on the night - I think its just one of those unflattering pics that sometimes crop up
But I do agree that she looks even prettier in person. Maybe we take it for granted that everyone looks pretty in Hollywood, because they have the best make-up artists but there on the night, as in several other fan-taken photos, she couldn't look any more beautiful. Natural beauty, not the type that anyone can get after an hour with your makeup artist.
I am so glad I got to go though. Funny thing was, I heard the tickets were made available, but held off buying them until I checked to see I would be able to have transport, by the time I went back to the site, all the tickets had sold out. I really did kick myself
Then someone mentioned at the Fox Forum to me, that someone over at the Starfury forums had two tickets spare he was selling off for face value (yes the classic tale of "I Know a guy who knows a guy"). I jumped straight in there and it was a done deal. I was so grateful for him, not only was he passing the tickets on, but instead of flogging them for a ridiculous price on ebay (which he would have got), he did the decent Browncoat thing, and sold them to a co-forumer Browncoat (I dont think forumer is a word)
Because we were later getting there than expected and I was supposed to pick the tickets up from him at the cinema, he left them with someone at the ticket counter so he could go in and get some seats. Fortunately we got there 20 mintues before it started and got some decent seats too (though too far away from the front - oh if I'd known for sure guests would be appearing at the front!)
I met up with him afterwards paid and thanked him for the tickets. Turns out he has met the cast a few times before going to Starfury conventions and said how great they were.
Though I was bit jealous of him cos he had a blue sun t-shirt and I didnt
