I showed a friend of mine a bit of writing and got perhaps the most rewarding response ever. She hasn't even seen any Firefly eps, and knew EXACTLY what to say!
"Ooh, shiny!"
"Ain't it just?"
Found myself swearing the other day... "Gorram it, this piece of Alliance lala ain't workin!" and when my evil computer gave me hands of blue, I said to myself "It never goes smooth! How come it never goes smooth?"
Ahh... and when I did not get the point in math class, twas I who said "She understands- she does not comprehend."
My brother hit something, and I said, "You don't have to hit them, you know." He said, in Jayne-like tones, "I like smacking 'em!"

When people look at me wierd because I will use every 4 letter word you can think of but now say gorramn instead of goddamn.

especially if you're muttering about the Fox executives out of context with whatever conversation you're part of. folks do start to worry after a bit.
