Couple of new challenges, huh?

Let's see, 400 credits for writing how you became a Browncoat and why you are one? Nah, I don't think any of us type a lot...wait, we do!

That's an easy 400 points that we could each load into our hold. I *was* planning to read more Harry Potter at lunch, but methinks me shall be writing instead.

I like the thread title - not you know, original, but I got a good laugh from it, mostly from the final "Whatever" which indicated you knew people wouldn't like it but because you couldn't think of anything better you didn't give a damn.

Well that's what I got from it anyway.

I'm excited about the new assignment. I was actually writing a little (read long) to Joss Whedon and Serenity to post on my delphi forum - I'm trying to add a Serenity vibe there, made more obvious by using the new poster as my front page. So I might incorporate some of the thoughts I haven't yet put in that article, and use them in this essay.
Did it say how long the assignment had to be? I can't remember, I may have to look at it again.

Anyway, I'm waiting for my dad to get back from the docotrs so I can take a picture of me with the blue latex gloves. The thing is, the glvoes are not the same as the ones in the show, nor the ones that have already been input as items for our crew, but they are blue, and they are made out of latex, (they're washing-up gloves really) so I think they may count.

Anyway, in the mean time I'm going to take photos of me with the dinoaurs and mal cover comic - you may not use them but at least there'll be back ups and more of a selection to choose from (or in my case, laugh at - I can't pose normal for a camera, I always pull faces, or otherwise look like a creepy serial-killer, which may come in handy when posing with the gloves)

Btw, if you want to change the thread title or want some ideas for the next one or two, I'll try and think of some suggestions, but for now how about:
Destiny - Still flying (not original I know, but pretty simple - or has it already been used?)
Destiny: The Crewmember Wars (sorry, just going with the whole other-space-show's theme)
Destiny: Now with Boy Whores.

Oy, this new challenge doesn't feel like fun, it feels like a homework assignment. Oh well, I'll still do it.

I may make up something, though. Fiction is much better than "My brother coerced me into watching his DVDs because the ship has the same name as me." Boring.

I am having so many problems with everything in my office this week. Yesterday the copier was broken AND my printer won't work. Got the copier fixed, still can't get the printer to work and now for some reason I can't get one specific program to print to the copier. AAaaarrggghhh!

*fantasizes about drop-kicking all her office equipment from the roof*

I feel very much like Alice from Dilbert today. As my sister likes to say "Fists of Death!"

I hate it when technology gets all unworky (I've been watching Buffy a bit recently), drop kicking it doesn't sound like a bad plan.

So anyway, back to the assignment. I think this will be fun, then again I've started a writing course so the chance to write about Firefly for the official board is right up my alley (or "write up my alley". oh boy - the lame ones I come up with!)

So seriously, your name is Serenity? That is... shiny! I can't believe that - in fact I was going to call you an outright liar (kindly of course), until I read your profile which backs up your statement.

Well then, it's just destiny that you're a fan of the show.
Wait wait wait, Destiny is the name of the ship we're a crew of. THE COINCIDENCES JUST KEEP COMING!!!

So... I just spent the better half of an hour taking pictures of myself. That sounds vain, but for the most part, it was meesing around with the camera, replacing the batteries, getting the dinosaurs from the attic (the plastic ones, I hope I didn't scare you) and then I had to find places to position the camera. Dammit why couldn't my sister be home, she could have took the pictures. I'm about to go through the pics now and I'll email them off a.s.a.p

And I feel very honored to be quoted in your little sig there, or whatever they call the quote next to your avatar. People got weird names for everything.

Do you never read the Dilbert comics? That's a shame, they're so very funny. Greek reads them online so I bet he could give you the web address if you asked. I'm lazy and tactile and kinetic so I like reading them out of the paper.

Yeah, isn't it great how technology improves our lives?

As a kid I would rub my fists together as an expression of anger/frustration--I was "sharpening my fists". My family thought this was really cute so they'd try to annoy me and then ask me to sharpen my fists. So now I refuse to indulge them.

So, Serenity, what is PM? Excuse me for my online ignorance. I read a couple of your blogs just now after Needy mentioned your profile, they were funny. Sorry I have no profile to offer in return. I consider myself to have already given in to geekdom just by joinging this crew :)

You got to go to one of the screenings, Serenity? I'm so jealous! It's really awesome like the rest of us are hoping it is, right? My family's going with me opening night (if we can get tix), so excited! The first time I've ever looked forward to a movie and wanted to go to opening night.
