Hi, I've noticed on several online stores (and on Fox TVs coming soon list) that seasons 1 and 2 of Buffy and Angel are being rereleased on DVD in september, does anybody know anything about the new releases, like new packaging or anything? Thanks.

Hmmm, I saw a feature in the Buffy Mag that they're releasing "starter" DVDs, eg the first couple of episodes etc. Not sure about the whole seasons though.

Seriously though, how many times can you repackage the same product?

I see, I noticed only the first 2 seasons are listed, but they are the complete seasons (as far as i can tell, they're all the same discs as you get anyway.) The only difference i can tell is the "New amaray-style plastic case!" (according to play.com).. But i thought the current editions of the box sets were amaray...

Nope, they're not - they're those "look nice but are a pain to get the discs out" cardboard things.

Presumably the new packaging will be like, say, the Alias box-sets.

dvd.co.uk - did have amaray casing seasons at 17.99 for buffy 1-6 and angel 1-3 - some seasons still left but not all

If the Alias box-sets are a nice little card case, with 3 normal DVD cases inside, then that is the style of my season 2 box-set.. So either [speculation] thats what theyre releasing and I've accidentally got mine early off the black market (someone on amazon marketplace), theyre rereleasing them or theres some kind of new design (they're releasing complete Buffy/Angel collections at the end of October)... You (UK) guys get the Amaray cases, the good prices, even Dark Angel anamorphic!!! I see now I must move to the UK!

hi, yes i have season 1-6 and angel season 1 in the same style (someone help me find season 7 in this release) which includes bonus material.
i think these new amaray style ones only contain the episodes and no bonus material also the have a silver strip at the top saying which season it is!
