GOLDFINGER. Or as Shirley Bassey would say: Gold-Feen-Gah! I think FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE is a bit underrated. And if Connery had played Bond in ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE then I think hands down it would be the best. The ironic thing is that the one movie where Connery could have really done some more challenging acting with the character is the one he turns down. Of course he came back for a buttload of money to do DIAMONDS ARE FORVEVER (the first one I ever saw in a theatre) and I guess an even bigger buttload for NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN.

My nominee for worst Bond movie: MOONRAKER.

Although I have yet to see DIE AGAIN TOMORROW or whatever the most recent one was called.

Favorite Bond girl--too much competetion for that.

And yeah, Ornella Mutti from SINBAD AND THE EYE OF THE TIGER...let's just she had quite an effect on my 14 or 15 year old self.

and he did the first batman film too.

I used to sit on sean connerys knee and he would read to me.

I dont know what he read to me, i was only a wee wee baby.

After that it was roger moore, who i know i must have seen a fair bit, but meh didnt register.
Timothy Dalton was the one I remember as being really nice, he kept stealing bits of the set for me.

My dad worked for Eon Production and was answerable to Peter Lamont and Terry Read (i suppose they were his bosses) who he says are in the credits

he worked on the carry on films too and aliens (sigourney weaver took us all out to dinner to say thank you to my dad for single handedly rebuilding a set he had knocked down, because they needed to re shoot a scene)

plus loads of others obviously.

I ignored Tom Cruise once, thats a cringing story

Ive grown up around some the most famous actors around, and yet it took me 3 times to meet Nathan Fillion before I could speak to him........

That's so cool. I met Christopher Reeve backstage at a play (my girlfriend at the time got a kiss off him), talked to Mark Hamill briefly at a convention, and had a couple beers with James Doohan at a bar (he's a really funny guy). But thats only a shadow of the kind of contact you've had with talent.
What's the Tom Cruise story? Enquiring minds need to know.

They were filming interview with a vampire and it was a closed set, which meant, i wasnt allowed to look around while they were filming. or even be in sniffing distance of the set while filming

but one day they were all off having lunch, and the set was open, and the producer said i could have a look round, so i was walking around the set which was v surreal as it was outside, yet i was in inside.......

So im pondering the wierdness and this much short bloke enquires as to wether im ok, he had long blonde hair and quite frankly looked wierd, so i grunted and walked away....only to discover later on that it was tom cruise in costume quietly going over a scene for himself.

That's so cool! I've always been impressed with the bond sets - they''re always so huge. I imagine that's down to a great deal of clever eye trickery and ingenuity. Funnily enough last night "The Spy Who Loved Me" was on TV, and I was thinking how great that set where all the subs are stashed was. Excellent. Is your dad still in the business?

Also good tales about bumping into actors n such.
