the bond stage was huge. you couldnt miss it as soon as you got into the studios.

plus they had all the lots around. but there is alot of camera trickery. like any scenes on water were actually done in a big tank about the size of maybe 3 swimming pools with a backdrop.

No my dad dosnt do it anymore, he left a few years ago. went to build houses and car parks instead.

I'm taking alot on faith that you guys are Buffy fans as well as Firefly fans. If not, my statement still rings true, I enjoyed the Timothy Dalton franchise more than the others, he seemed more true to the books for me. Also, call me crazy, but I'd love to see "Casino Royale" redone with Tarantino at the helm.

“From Russia With Love” & “Goldfinger”

I love Russia because it’s the most true to life Bond movie. Spies really did stuff like that; the objective is just so much more realistic than the latter movies where 'it’s save the world from killer lasers' and such. Goldfinger is a close second just because it’s so classic; cutting Bond in two with a laser- you can’t beat that.

Worst “The Spy Who Loved Me”, although not that bad as a Bond movie I just know too much on the subject that it’s just bad for me- come on Cyanide Gas? Ha, put on EABs and open up the small arms locker, the crews of two Boomers and a Fast Attack wouldn’t have surrendered their boats. But on the plus side a massive ship built by an eccentric billionaire that goes around stealing submarines really existed (and was probably more amazing than any James Bond fiction)!

Anyway, Bond...

My fave bond is Brosnan (swoon) and my fave film was always Live and Let Die...but...

recently I have been trying to rewatch them all on tv and my god how racist and sexist is it possible to get? Naming a woman Miss Goodhead? Strangling someone with her own bikini top just so Bond can see the boobs? I mean... in one film Connery actually dressed up as a Japanese man - complete with offensive eye make-up.

I can't watch the old ones anymore without wanting to put my foot through the screen but I will still be at the cinema for the next one.

I'm a huge Band fan. been rather diappointed with the Bosnan films though. Ok Bond, some nice scnees, but overall i find them to be lackluster compared to most Bonds of old.

My favorites alt between Goldfinger, On her Majesty's Secret Service and The Living Daylights.

Love the Barry music scores to each. Nice pacing, dialogue and the like. I didn't mind lazenby, LOVE Connery and Dalton and I like Moore. Roger Moore WAS Bond to me as a young child- the first one I saw was For Your Eyes only which also deserves honorable mentio fortaking Bond back down to earth in more ways then one after Moonraker.

Best Bond girl is a tougher question. Character wise it's Tracy form OHMSS (Diana Rigg) but looks wise... man Solitare, Domino, Melina, Holly Goodhead (I know, cringe), Mary Goodnight... too many to choose.

Another one that I knew was a Chrisisall post!!!

My favorite...Thunderball! Man, what a flick...Hot chicks, sharks, hot chicks, unnecessary plastic surgery...Rocket PACK!!!

And Tom Jones singing the theme can't be bad.

Close second, and I have to go with Andrew on this, but License to Kill. I thought that Dalton's Bond as portrayed in that flick was pretty close to Flemming's version.

After that, Goldeneye. Bond was always a cool character, but, never cooler, I thought, than in this one...

And there's three...

Brosnan has done a good job, but for my money Connery will always be the best bond. and fav movie? probably goldfinger, but likely because it's the one i've seen the most.....

...May have been the losing side, Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Leaving out personal preference, Thunderball was probably the best movie if only because Flemming had a hand in writing the screen story, which walked a fine line between the realistic spy story and the maniacal world domination ploy.
It worked on every level.

I'm surprised that 'You Only Live Twice' hasn't been mentioned yet. (Especially since the remake has.)
