Of course they make poor role models.
After all, they're great big balls of hydrogen rapidly decomposing into helium through the miracle of fusion.
And they're really, really far away.

Laughing so hard I nearly fell out my chair!
You two are a riot!
Also, I would just like to state that I am very disappointed in Russel Crowe. I LOVED him in Master & Commander. Now next time I watch it, all I'll be able to think about is "he can't control his temper." This is why I never get too attached to movie stars/rock stars/celebrities in general. They all behave like spoiled 2 yr olds in toy stores.

Folks like Crowe are just stars. They can point out the flaws in the world. Look at bono. For all we know he's a great human being but the possibility he isn't but he draws attention to some of the world's problems.
Sadly we are a society where we tear apart our heroes or try to hold them to standards unreachable. Now that does not always happen but it seems to be the rule.

Dug - that was my first thought, too! I was half-expecting a comedic article about trying to base your life around the life-cycle of a star, trying not to become a brown dwarf and all that... I guess I've gotten too used to movie-stars being called "BDH"s! :)
I read the article you linked to; it's a bit strange. It never explains why people thinking that movie-stars are morally bankrupt would have anything to do with people watching them on small screens instead of big.

Well, duh!
But, what was that about fire?
