Not so as I've noticed ....

Sometimes my own inaccurate wording combines with a natural lack of tact...
Thanks if you didn't notice.

Here's another:
When you call to place an order, the phone connection is fine.
When you call with a question about your bill, you can barely hear 'em.

Can it core a apple Chrisisall

$.02:

Faith is absurd.

I am the entire Universe, but don't be upset, so are you.

Two wrongs make a right nearly every time.

The greater the volume of knowledge, the higher the chance for lies.

Never let a sense of what is right, blind you to what is true.

Morality is an illusion, and slave to the temporal.

Nothing I have typed is wrong.

OK. It went by me. How did you figure I was a negotiator?

That thing about getting shmoozed. It just sounds like you've done a lot of negotiations, and not from a particularly strong position.

Yeah, well. We work under a no-strike clause. Moral authority is all fine and good, but it'd be nicer to have a little bit more oomph to work with.
OTOH, if they are schmoozing, at least it means they think your good-will is worth keeping, which in itself might be a place to bargain from.

I can completely empathize with SoupCatcher's first statement, though I'd be a bit less species-biased (they all need to be caught and eaten, yumm yumm yumm!).

However, I have to vigorously protest the second statement as a perversion of the natural order of things. How on god's green earth can you be a fan of both the Giants and the Dodgers? The Dodgers are the blue embodiment of baseball evil, whereas the Giants.......... well damn, the Giants are stinking up the league bigtime.

(perfessergee grew up in northern California, and he swears the Giants are not as bad as they look).

Baseball is an important core value (especially when the Yankees are getting their overly-rich butts kicked). But, there are others:

TANSTAAFL - There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch. You get what you pay for every time. You don't pay, you really get it.

Washing the rug is a near-perfect predictor that the dog (or cat) will barf upon it while you sleep. It's only a bit less reliable a predictor that you will walk into the kitchen barefoot the next morning and step into........ (sorry, but we're talking truth here!)

It's late, and time to sign off (as you may have noticed.........)

Backdoor logic Chrisisall

Ah but Chrisisall, whist I sorta agree with you - I have a feeling you can't have watched Buffy (early series) or West Wing (series 1 &2) ... certainly on a par I reckon ....

I've seen the first three seasons of Buffy, and while they strike me as wittier, LOL funnier, and much more fun than DA, DA hits me on a gut level more, the way Firefly does. I like to laugh, but when a show pulls tears outta me too, I feel like it's real to me.
Not that the Buffster didn't make the occasional tear roll, just so keenly aware that her world is fantastic, what with people comin' back from the dead and all...
But never seen West Wing. Is it that good? Really?

I'm Buffy the vampire slayer. And you are -? Chrisisall
