Well in response to that UIP statement I am going to be asking for my money back and/or reporting the convention organisers to trading standards.

If what UIP has said is true then they are guilty of false advertising with regard to the Serenity screenings and that is illegal.

Hi all,

Sorry it's taken me this long to post, real life has been hectic, LFCC was great even with a raging hangover, it was great to meet up with people (Hi PR) and even tho' we never managed to actually meet it was great talking to you on the phone Fray.

Adam was the sweetest guy I've ever met, I had 3 hours sleep the night before and by the time I got round to him I been on my feet for 5 hours! To say I was tired was an understatement, the stupid assed grin I had on my face in my photo was 1/2 because I was so tired. Adam looks at me and says you look like you need a week's sleep at which I said yeah I really do, at that point he leapfrogs across the table and pulls me into the biggest bear hug (this man has massive arms) and says 'sleep'!!! I could've, really I could!
Also I had a vest on that says 'Whedon's Bitch and proud of it' across it and he says to me, from one Whedon's Bitch to another..... thank you so much for coming!

I will confess however to having a new obsession, John Barrowman is the sweetest most down to earth guy I've ever met! And rather gorgeous to boot!

I don't know if this is going to work but i'm going to try and post a link to my photo's so here goes -

We'll see if that works.

I'm new here but thought I should post that I was there and the event was fab. A tad dissapointing about the trailer not being present but as was mentioned at the talk nobody really knows why for sure.

I was crewing at the event on the Saturday working on the ticket booth on the front door. Was on my feet all day but all I could think about was meeting Adam and John Barrowman the next day.

When I met Adam I was blown away by his tallness to begin with....I'm a shorty. But he was real nice chatting with me and everything. Really made my day

I believe the statement from UIP makes it quite clear why there was no trailer. The organisational side was not wrapped up in time for the event to happen.

Well for me it will always be only one side of the story. But there we go, not anything that can be done about it now.

Hey Cally! First of all, can't agree enough with the John Barrowman thing - just so friendly! And the rest...Jeez, and I thought I'd taken a lot of photos of him! Sadly I was at the back for the talk.

Where the heck did you see Chitty? I was happy with KITT but now I'm a bit upset...

Ooh, you met Adrian Paul...I so fancied him in The Colbys! I only got some distant shots of him (the money had gone by then!)

Agreed that every argument has two sides. However, I do have an email from the person at UIP charged with promoting the BDM, dated just after Showmasters' announcement about signing up to preview screenings which states that she knew nothing about what they had announced back then so I am inclined to side with the people who's job it is to get the message out about the film not to attract attendees to a signing event. Anyhow, let's not share the bitterness, I agree with you entirely let's just move on nothing can be done eh? Let's promote the hell out of our movie instead!

BTW (for anyone not directed at Muffin)the event at Birmingham in August is likely to attract at least 10,000 attendees going on conservative estimates and I am guessing that the trailer may start to do the rounds with War of the Worlds.

Hilary, YOU Know I didn`t mean that AND that was why I used A BIGGRIN SMILEY! so Don`t call someone a LIAR without the full info!

For your info, I have been a TREKIE for the past 35 or so years - although the end of Enterprise is a good thing, it needs to lie down for a while.
