Has anyone seen that Snapple commercial where an old dude and his daughter are sitting on a couch talking about the daughter's wedding? I THINK the old dude is Niska. It looks just like him and the voice sounds the same, just lacks the accent. And he wasn't torturing her. Yet.

Yes it was, and I've never been so afraid NOT to drink a Snapple in my life!!!

My wife is quite tired of hearing me cry out in fear every time that commercial is on!

'Lish:

The best piece of acting I've seen out of Michael Fairman ("the old dude") was in the Costner vehicle Thirteen Days. Fairman plays Adlai Stevenson in the film. His performance was the best in the flick for believability. Very memorable, if minor. Rent it, if you haven't seen it before.

I also remember the first time I ever heard of Snapple. It was a co-sponsor of the Howard Stern Show (along with some label-making device, by Brother, I think). As a result of not being able to separate Snapple from Stern mentally, I've never drunk it. Is it any good?

...Or does it taste like sleaze, as I imagine?

I know! I told my #2 co-worker convert about it and he said, and I quote, "NO!! That scary old bastard! I wanted him to die!" Hopefully, Snapple didn't choose him for that kind of result.

Stern is kind of a guilty pleasure that nobody wants to confess enjoying. It's the closest thing to 'reality'... ...TV that I can stand. But what guy doesn't remember The Kielbasa Lady from "Private Parts"?

i have to agree, i loved him in that movie. i also loved the actor who played rfk--he was awesome.

oh, i also saw michael fairman in a us cellular commercial playing a judge the other night!
