Very much obliged for the advise. I'm actually not addicted yet. I can stop anytime I want to.
Have to go watch some Buffy now.
Bye.

No, he's not addicted...Chrisisall

If you decide to buy them all, Make sure to check the used cd/dvd places around town. A friend of mine I converted picked up a full set of the dvds for 20.00 a season just the other day.

Thanks for the tip. I hadn't really thought of that, but there's a few used dvd places in the area! Even if I can only get a season or two that way, a lot of dough would be saved (but who would let go of a Buffy season?).

One question, though. Are season 3 and 4 cliffhangers? Or do they pretty much end clean?

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition Chrisisall

None of the seasons end on cliff-hangers - thank goodness!

Thanks, fray101, I haven't got to the end of the second season yet, so I didn't know. Haloween was great, Lies was better. I was thinkin' I might stop after S3, I'm really likin' it, but it's a financial stretch to get all 7, and frankly, I like Firefly (and my 2nd fav, Dark Angel) a lot more.
Now if I find 'em used or something...that's another story.

Spike bugs me Chrisisall

Please consider not stopping. I've not known a series grow in strength to the extent that BtVS did. Of course, they should have changed the title to Spike the Vampire, but that's another thread

As for the financials, that's why there's USENET

Chrisisall,

I know I'm pretty much a jokester. I perpetuate that persona purposely. (alliteration!) However, I am being as serious as I ever get when I tell you that Seasons 3, 2 and 6 are the best EVER entertainment, next to Firefly, you will get to see in this or any other lifetime.

Oh, and Angel is good too. You need to at least watch it, if not own it.

I have spoken.

Edited to add the following:

When I was out of work for 4 months prior to my back surgery, I SWORE I would not get hooked on soap operas again. Instead, I got hooked on Buffy. Then, later, Angel. WAY more addictive than any old soap, in my opinion.

The week I was in the hospital on a morphine drip and assorted other narcotics, I programmed my VCR to tape the 2 hours of eps each day. I only had an 8 hour tape so I knew I would miss the 5th day. I was in the hospital, in and out of consciousness, not knowing if it was night or day, and I remember my clearest thought was, "Damnit, I'm going to miss Friday's episodes!!"

I can't actually conceive how anyone could watch Seasons 1 & 2 and NOT watch the following seasons! I do appreciate the money aspect (as someone who bought the first four seasons of Buffy on video and then had to start all over again on DVD, I really do understand!) but you have to find a way!

If nothing else, the brilliance of Andrew awaits you!

And, er, Riley....(who, for the record, I liked)

Fray101,

I liked Riley too.

Select to view spoiler:

But I LOVED him when he came back in season 6. Except that he brought his wife along, that is.
