Half a BD and half an AD, depending on how the BD goes. If it means before I actually got the DVDs, even if they were already released, then I'm a BD. My friend got the DVDs, and I was hooked in as she ranted and raved (I read scripts, saw clips, all that...)

But I guess I wasn't truly a Browncoat until I got the DVDs. So it's odd. I'll just saaayy...

Wife and I have been Browncoats since Apr of last year.
Don't ever remember seeing anything about Firefly when it was broadcast. Never watched Buffy or Angel never even heard of Joss Whedon. Our son brought the DVD over on a Fri. evening and by Sunday had finished and wanted more. Shocked to find out it had been cancelled for more than a year. Firefly was good stuff.
Damn shame. The stories and characters had heart and soul in spades. Want more...And just love those actors.
Wife was saying we should make a midnight showing
of Serenity in Sep. in Firefly T-shirts. Who'd a thought it. We are past the half century mark.

Saw part of "The Train Job" in first run; wasn't impressed. Saw the entire series in order thanks to the Space channel... was impressed.

I am a BF.

I had the date on the calendar marked. I had the website bookmarked. I was very anxious for this show. Then I saw it. Then I loved it. Then I was a fan of it and brought in my buddy. Then I was destroyed by the news of cancellation. Then I was elated by the rumor of DVD. Then I bought the DVD and gave my crappy VCD's away to my buddy. Then I bought 3 more copies of the DVD as gifts and a rental set. Then I was overjoyed at the 'greenlight' news. Now I am back to being anxious for the show. Again.

You can't take the sky from me.
Cuz I got my DVDs.

I'm an AD.

I tend to avoid TV and I never heard of the show until the faithful at AR15.COM turned me on to it. I bought the DVD set on their say-so and it was one of the best purchases of my life. Dripping with quality and style, characters I care about...well, you know the rest.

I was a huge Buffy fan, not so much Angel, and just never caught any Firefly and thought the concept was just too weird (I know I know...)

Luckily a friend had the DVDs and made me watch it with him...I was in love from "Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal."

Browncoat BF! In fact I just noticed my three year anniversary at FFF.net is a couple weeks away.

Of course, I didn't officially love the show until I saw the Train Job (how could I?).

I am totally stoked that the audience for this show keeps growing and growing and am hopeful that the Browncoat AD crowd will out number all of the BF, DB and BD Browncoats very soon (if they don't already).

BD. I never saw the FOX broadcasts but heard about the series via word-of-mouth. By the time I saw the main character murder an unarmed man by a boot into an engine, I was hooked.
