Not looking to create division. Just curious. "When did you become a Browncoat?"
BF - Before Fox started airing the show
DB - During The Broadcast
BD - Before the DVD's
AD - After the DVD's
Remember it's not a "Who's the greatest fan?" contest.
I'm just curious.
I consider myself DB. I watched the show from the first episode, but I had heard nothing else except the lame promos by Fox. But somehow I knew I would like the show.
Ok so now you see what I'm looking for. So which are you??????

AD - a Brit and major Joss fan, gradually got every Buffy and Angel then decided to go for the show he kept mentioning in commentaries
Soooo glad I did

DB. Liked the show from the first episode, but wasn't hooked until "Our Mrs. Reynolds." Fortunately, I'd recorded all the episodes (just in case the show happened to be good), so I was able to go back to the beginning when I got hooked.

I'd have to say I'm DB as well. Knew it was coming, really looked forward to it, but didn't know too much about it other than the Fox promos. I really liked the show, but I didn't know how hooked I was until I had to fight back tears when I realized that I had NOT set the VCR the week that "Ariel" was broadcast. Pre-broadband, I had to wait for the DVDs before I finally saw that episode.

I might add I saw all the unaired episodes when a friend downloaded them for me. And I watched them in a crappy slow choppy RM format. Getting my DVD's was like a breath of fresh and very clear air.

DB - I wasn't the hip and cool internet savvy girl that i am today at the time the show started, and was only really just then becoming a Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan, so the only thing i knew of the show is what fox had to tell me: "A tough guy named Jayne! *JUST SCARE HIM A LITTLE. PAIN IS SCARY* A cosmic hooker! *HOW'S BUSINESS? NONE OF YOURS* And a girl in a box *RIVER SCREAMS*" and was a little skeptical at first...because you know... a cosmic hooker is only a big selling point if your a guy...
and well, here i am

MAL: This is my scrap of nowhere. You go on and find your own.
SAFFRON: You can't just leave me here, on this
lifeless piece of crap moon...
MAL: Sure I can.
SAFFRON: I'll die.
MAL: Well, as a courtesy, you might start
getting busy on that, cause all this chatter ain't doin' me any kindness.

BF: I was a fan of Joss' from Buffy so when I heard he was creating a new show I knew right away that I would watch and get hooked. I don't think I cared what the show was going to be about, I was just happy to see Joss try his hand at something else besides vampires.

I'm BF too. Again, a fan of Buffy & Angel, and had already resolved to watch whatever Joss came up with.

I totally agree with Cybersnark. I'm a BF too. Already a rabid Buffy and Angel fan that had to play catch-up with those; I wasn't going to miss a new show that I could catch from the very beginning. And anything Joss does is genius, so I was already sold. I even made it a priority to watch on vacation 3 states away.
