New Forum for the BDM

We already have a few flans who've seen the BDM (without FX or final sound), and several posts, most of which have been good about warning of spoilers. In six months, most American flans will have seen the movie while few outside North America will have had the opportunity. There'll be a ton of posts. I suspect that some will contain spoilers but have useless titles.

Can we have a new forum for the BDM?

I think this is a good idea! Lets have two branches - one for spoiler whores (like me!) and one for the spoiler phobics. Then everybody can be happy as long as they stay in their respective corners...

There already have been! But you'd have to frequent the spoiler threads to have seen the grenades.

You raise an excellent point, YT. I've been musing over much the same thing and think I might have a solution. Right now, you have to scroll down to see the Real World FFF.net section threads. For the most part we fireflyfans have done a good job of segmenting topics and, when that fails, the mods have done a really good job of switching threads over to this section to keep them out of the general mix. How about if all threads that have BDM spoiler info are put in this area of the main page instead? The Real World FFF.net section could be changed over to be like Troll Country where you actually have to go there to see what's been updated. There's about twenty of us who regularly post in the Real World FFF.net section and I think all of us could find our way using the new scheme.

So, quick recap (using current main page area designations). Latest Discussions section is spoiler free. Real World FFF.net section becomes BDM thread section. Real World Events Discussion section handled like Troll Country (in terms of threads not showing up on the main page and the top 100 discussions).

I have no idea how much effort this would take and my overriding concern is to not push for Haken to make changes that require hours of work. He's gone above and beyond the call of duty by an extraordinary margin as it is and I'm thankful for his voluntary work on a daily basis .

Well, it's really not too much trouble for me to make it however you all want it to be. Just let me know what the final decision is and I'll get it added.

And since we're on the subject of forums. Because I really--really--like Battlestar Galactica. I'll be adding a forum for BSG.

Not to FFF.NET, of course, but elsewhere. Will keep you all posted.

Probably make it a separate section like the "Real World" section, that shows up below the main section (so real spoilerphobes can even avoid titles by just not scrolling down the page)

Jayne, your mouth is talkin. Might want to look into that.
