Thinking of words (and I promise I'll shut up in a minute!) can anyone remember the line from Star Trek VI that Spock says about when they're going to have to pretend to be Klingons?
I know it has the phrase 'linguistic leger-de-main' in there somewhere, does anyone know the full line?

Hehehe. I too have looked for it. I've considered writing a Redneck Lingo book. I have heard it now on both the West coast (Oregon) and the East Coast(NY) of America.
Hoogerbobbin : To ride an innertube, that is tied to the back of a pickup truck, down a dirt road or two-track (ruts created by a tractor or farm equipment) near or around rural country.
To make a long story short, I dated a girl in Portland, Oregon (pretty young thing) who had bruises all over her butt after a weekend at her family's farm. I asked her what they were all about and she said "I went Hoogerbobbin this weekend" and proceeded to explain herself and what Hoogerbobbin actually was. Needless to say I was baffled at the entertainment value one could gain from such actions.
I eventually parted ways with her and returned to my native habitat, NY. One night while enjoying a few pints with some friends about the ole campfire (AKA Field Party), much to my great disbelief, I heard the term used once again as a bunch of knuckleheads proceeded to tie a tractor innertube to the back of a pickup truck with some chains and tear off into the night, hooting and hollering. I chose not to partake in such activities, because I placed GREAT value on the condition of me bum.
Since then I have heard the term used 2 or 3 times, usually at a rural gathering of some type and usually after the consumption of several cold alcoholic beverages.
I have heard it called other things as well, just not nearly as colorful.

Y'know I live in the country - never heard or seen the activity in these parts(S/E UK). Weird. Cool word though.
Mind you, we do have duck racing in the next village from where I live so guess I can't poke fun....
