Favorite Words/Stupid Post

"kurofune" (black ship)
It's Japanese, but I've hijacked its meaning into something of my own silly creation (much to the amusement of my Japanese classmates).
A lot like Mal's line in Serenity, where he mentions something like "that changes the landscape." It's an expletive uttered when a new situation arises that brings potential complications or difficulties.
Kind of like Perry's black ships back in the 19th century.
No... this must be what going mad feels like.

I found the poem about my favorite word:

why bother with practicing for hours at the keyboard,
Or you would like to be the romantic captain of a romantic ship
but can’t find time to study navigation or
charts of the ocean or the seaboard;
You want a lot of money but you are not prepared to work for it,
Or a book to read in bed but you do not care to go
into the nocturnal cold and murk for it;
And now if you have any such symptoms you can
identify your malady with accurate spontaneity;
It’s velleity,
So don’t forget to remember that you’re velleitous,
and if anybody says you’re just lazy,
Why they’re crazy.

Middling - as in the response to "How you doing?" "Fair to middling."
Physic - not in the Newtonian sense of the word.
Precess - orbital physics in the Newtonian sense.
Defenestrate

My favourite word of all time is 'tactile', I like how it sounds and I like what it means. 
another fun word is 'visceral' - which people tend to use to mean highly emotional, but actually comes from the word viscera, which means your intestines
