The only dog I've ever personally lost was the one my mom gave away on a weekend at our dad's, but I've mourned the loss of other people's dogs before. Especially my mom and step-dad's since we spent a lot of time together those last few years.

Thank you, thank you and thank you. Yeah... I think you're right and painting the window wall the same color as the vanity and cabinet would have been way too dark. And yeah... It's a small bathroom. I had a hard time getting a straight on shot because I'm practically bent over backward over my shower curtain taking these pics as it was.

Oh... It's just a scrap piece of wood that you affix to the wall immediately underneath where you want your cabinet after you've got it nice and level. It's like having a 2nd set of hands when you're hanging a cabinet alone... especially when you're putting it over electrical wires and trying to screw it in while keeping it firmly in place against a wall that's all slippery now because of the semi-gloss paint.
I ended up putting a hole in the back of the cabinet with my drill where I didn't want it and now that needs to be patched and touched up, so damned if you do or don't I guess.

Final pics for the night because I'm toast for realz.
Two more of my knobs for the kitchen cabinets used up. I know I had a plan in mind when I did them, but I think since I'm going with a pedestal sink in the basement whenever I get around to it, I'm going to end up with more than I needed. They're beautiful. I'll find something to use them on.
The hinges were spray painted. I had new screws that were the right size and just used those.
I love that electric tester. So much that I own 2 or 3 of them since I've lost and found at least 1 of them before.
I haven't put the GFCI up next to the wall switch yet, but at least I know that in the entire bathroom there is no open hot or neutral or ground, and the only thing not currently grounded is the 2nd switch that will be properly grounded when I get the medicine cab installed.
(EDIT: No wait... that's not true. It IS grounded, but with the solid copper wire I use and no junction box cut and painted and installed, it's just kind of floating precariously in the air about 2 feet above and off to the right of the sink basin. THAT will be fixed.

Oh well... I just realized that the shelf for that cabinet had never been turned over and painted after all this time, so that needs to be painted anyhow, and I'll have a few touchups here or there otherwise. I'm not going to go to bed angry about it.

Oh... and no... I didn't hang the cabinet off center. It's right where it needs to be. My painter's tape marks are very much off center the other way.
It bothers me every time I look at it now too.

There aren't words for it, and the pictures from this camera certainly don't do it justice.
With two night lights in there now, you can see everything you need to see without having to turn on three big dumb bright lights that are going to make sure you're up at least an hour before you can go back to sleep.
They're also those light sensitive ones that only come on when the sun goes down like my garage lamp does.
Jack just leveled up. Jack is a happy man.
Hmmmm... I bet I could affix a mirror to the top right above the outlet and get even more light over the toilet out of that one.
EDIT: Yeah... That'll work. Even better if I put it at an unexpected angle pointing back into the cabinet a few degrees. I can't get the entire toilet really lit, but I can get the front half of it pretty bright with the angle I'd be allowed to use and still hide the fact that there is even a mirror up there. I'm assuming my larger toilet is also going to come out a bit further from the wall than this tiny boy did too, so even more would be lit up. Nice.

I screwed up my USB stick. My computer won't read it now. I did something real stupid last time I tried to use it. I pulled it out without ejecting it. I mean just pulled. So I am going to see if I can do anything with it or if I have to start from scratch.

I disagree wholeheartedly. The main purpose of that outlet was to plug in things like beard trimmers and electric toothbrushes. The lighting is just a bonus. The lights in the vanity are not designed for dimmer switches anyhow.
