Maybe Joss isn't deeply involved...

as some have claimed. But somebody there knows some Firefly.
Final word in the last episode? Anybody remember where that came from?
hint - final word in very first episode of the best sci fi series ever.

The guy saying "Be on your merry" in the last got me... Either they FINALLY got around to watching the series, or Joss is around more for a bit.
Oh, and Patton Oswalt wrote one of the comics too...

Joss is brilliant, but one man can only do so much. The fact that AGENTS has improved of late seems to be a result of "The Joss Factor." I feel that you can also see it on display during the year in which we had FIREFLY, BUFFY, and ANGEL. If you know when the episodes were airing, you can almost watch the path of Joss, shifting his primary focus from show-to-show.

I think we've seen the same thing here, with AGENTS benefitting from Joss not needing to focus on CAPTAIN AMERICA or GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY for a stretch.

It was pretty clear that Joss wasn't going to be heavily involved from the start. And its highly unlikely that he's more involved NOW than at the start - being that he's pretty busy with Avengers 2.

"Goram it kid, let's frak this thing and go home! Engage!"

We probably would be getting more things that sound familiar if other writers were involved. Aside from Jed & Mo on Dollhouse and Dr. Horrible, there are only two other writers working on SHIELD that have worked with Joss before. Jeffrey Bell wrote several episodes of Angel, and Brent Fletcher just one on the same show. If it wasn't for the fact that Tim Minear, Jane Espenson, Marti Noxon, Jose Molina, etc, are all busy with other projects, I think they'd have a spot in the SHIELD writer's room. My guess is that if they had a part in writing any scripts, or if Joss himself had more time to supervise, our discussions of the show would be entirely different.

Agent Melinda May makes contact with Agent Maria Hill (guest star Cobie Smulders). The two of them chat about Coulson. The information as to who gave Director Fury the orders to save him remains a mystery. The conversation is cut short when the feds arrive. May had taken out the surveillance team assigned to tail Hill, who chastises the FBI for their lackluster response time. They’d never make it as agents under her command.

I just watched this and am heading for the last one to air. This was better, I hope it continues to improve.

Just tried to watch the newest one. I was asked to sign in and be verified. That's a no go, I will have to wait.

Serenity can only be achieved in the wilderness.
