FX was just rerunning 'Anne' (first episode of S3)
which was never a favorite episode of mine
until I saw Anne (Lily takes Buffy's middle name as her name at the end of 'Anne') on Ats

I loved how this weak aimless helpless girl from BtVS
learned to not only take care of herself,
but on Ats she had learned to run a homeless shelter for teens
and I really loved that Joss included her in the finale of Angel.

Very few shows have much character development,
but in the Jossverse we see a lot of minor characters who grow and evolve...
and Anne became one of my favorites

i loved her scene in the angel finale. gunn says "what would you do if i told none of it makes a difference?" i love her reply. "i'd get this truck loaded before the new stuff gets here." i felt this really summed up the show. angel always said, "keep fighting the good fight." and the finale was all about doing what you do even in the face of impossible odds or a hopeless outcome. to her, she cannot change what forces beyond her control will do; all she can do is do anything within her power and not give up. this theme is present in firefly too. "we do the job. keep flying.". you press on and do whatever it takes.

I loved the first episode she was in. Love that scene where Xander, Willow and Angel go to the vampire-wannabe's 'lair' Angel says something like 'these kids have no idea what vamires are like' and then a kid walks by with the exact same shirt and jacket the Angel is wearing.

"..it is my very favorite gun."

The continuity of bringing her into Angel, following on from 'Lie To Me' and 'Anne' was great.
Being the freak that I am, I got all excited from recognising her when I first saw her appear in Angel though
