If true, this is a losing issue for Republicans. I don't see why Republicans always go out of their way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, every single time. It's going to be bad enough for them once millions of American Citizens start losing Medicaid in late 2026. Especially when they're still (always) going to have to deal with the issue of Abortion. This is an example of over-correction. I couldn't give a shit less who somebody is having sex with as long as they're adults and one isn't raping the other... and I don't have to fucking see it or hear about it. I'm just tired of it being crammed in everyone's faces in every single commercial break sandwiched between every single show they've been put in. Literally every show, and we just always have to talk about it.
The LGB need to cut the rest of the freaks off and take back their own victories for themselves, and then just STFU and live their lives and stop bothering everyone else. I think most of them do that already and would be happy just to live their lives without constantly making a fuss as long as they're not being fucked with. It's MEDIA in all its forms today that is the problem and how they put all this fucking nonsense at the end of the LGB movement, and the gays just sat back and allowed that to happen. We were probably only a year or two away from adding NAMBLA to the Gay flag, the way things were going before November.
I don't see any reason to punish the gays. We're just finished watching them swing their junk all over the place in their "Pride" parades in front of children and all the other sick shit the clingers-on have been up to all this time.
I think most folk are pretty chill and normal. Even the gay ones, dude.
In any event. I'm going on the record as stating that I have no interest in seeing any challenges to the legalization of gay marriage making their way to the Supreme Court. I'm fine with gay marriage.
By all means, if you're a church/religion who doesn't believe that it's right, you should be able to deny a marriage service or even remove people from your flock if they come out as gay. It's not like there aren't pop-up churches all over the place that haven't embraced it and won't marry you. There are plenty of choices.
And if you're a self-owned business like those cake bakers that didn't want to make a cake with "Adam and Steve" on top because of their own religious and moral belief system, they should be able to make that choice to lose that business as well. I'm happy that they're making enough money in the 2020's that they can afford to turn anyone away. Good for them.
There are plenty of places to go to get a cake baked. Go somewhere else. Tell the holier-than-thou Christians to go fuck themselves on your way out the door if it makes you feel better, but then drop it. Don't go on a decade's long crusade to ruin those people or try to get a video of you being an asshole viral online.
My only real sticking point is the adoption issue...
I honestly don't know what stance I would take on that and couldn't give a good answer if pressed. My parents were heterosexual and absolutely sucked at that job, and I'm hardly in the minority. I never bothered trying myself either, so it's not as if I have any input.
But I do think that the issue is tricky as all hell because the sheer nature of the whole debate revolves around sex and sexuality, and now you're bringing kids into the mix.
