No. But it does need to make somewhere in the area of $560 Million to break even, James.
Good luck.

That makes sense. At one time, during the 60's, Fantastic Four was Marvel's most popular property.
But it's a relic. For whatever reason it didn't age well. My friends NEVER talked once about Fantastic Four during the 80's or 90's. They didn't bother having any cartoons for them, and when they did finally make a movie we didn't even know about it because it was made never to be shown to the public just to maintain the rights.
They've tried putting the on the big screen like 3 times now and nobody cares.
I think they probably nailed the asthetic for this new version, and I think had they not had a bunch of DEI writers and bullshit from the last 5 years involved, just because of the look of this thing I think it would have done well.
But it's a girlboss POS with nobody's favorite Pedro Pascal as the lead punching bag.
Seriously...
The dude is in everything, but almost everything he's ever been in has been a flop...

a Boomer comic maybe.
I think its just from a different era, the big sellers have been Spider-Man and Batman, maybe Xmen kind of sells or if you team up Ironman, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Captain America, Black Widow into one movie you also get a huge hit but with Fantastic Four not so much
most comicbook hits are kind of grounded, Ironman is an inventor in a suit, Spider-Man's real alter ego has trouble paying the rent, Batman is gritty etc
The rest were godly, you had Superman which are guys with godly powers, the Flash runs so fast its ridiculous, then you have Flash Gordon I guess he's more real but elite he's also a polo player and Yale University graduate then he goes off to have this ridiculous Fu Machu adventure in 'Space' vs Ming int he movie with a 'Queen' soundtrack he plays football, its fun and campy I guess, you had Wonder Woman more super powers is she another of the gods like Superman?
maybe you can say Fantastic Four is from another time when the 'Nuclear Family' was a thing, good economy traditional happy Christian White family the economy is doing ok until some big KingKong moster comes along and 'Mr Fantatsic' has to figure out how to beat him with a spray or ray gun and rope. Maybe its from a time of The Waltons, The Adventures of Swiss Family Robinson, the RedScare the Commie Russians are coming, John Wayne was the 'good' Cowboy shooting those savage red Indians the tv propaganda said, books you had The Andromeda Strain Michael Crichton, Casino Royale by Ian Fleming, East of Eden John Steinbeck, , Doctor Zhivago Boris Pasternak, Across the River and into the Trees Ernest Hemingway, some scifi writers started to rise during the days of the 'Space Race' the tv had Little House on Prarie, Fantasy Island, the Love Boat, Mr Ed, Hart to Hart, The Beverly Hillbillies, The Green Hornet, The Adams Family, Gilligan's Island, The Price Is Right, the Flintsones?
I guess Fantastic Four was revolutionary for the time...however by the time Tim Burton's Batman arrives, the Xmens or Blade its just way too dated
Fantastic Four was probably relevant in its time but then family would break apart, the 80s recessions, the 1990 oil price shock, divorce and crime an

So it looks like Superman is going in the direction of 350-400 Million but overseas in Europe and Asia it crashed
Superman finally passed $150M domestic on Tuesday
Could be a -50% to -55% drop in Second Weekend but there have been worse, falls of -70% are also common with comicbook movies
I think it will do better than Man of Steel
but it wont be doing Minecraft numbers

Those international numbers are the nail in the coffin I think for the entire plan to reboot the DC universe for the 5th time.
Good riddance anyway. Maybe we can just let the Cape Flicks die for a decade or two now.

Hold up. Wait a minute...
What's this?
https://www.the-numbers.com/movie/Superman-(2025)#tab=international
All I was hearing about was how badly it did internationally, and I know a few days ago that's what I was seeing at The-Numbers. I had heard several youtubers say that it only made $5 Million in China and a few other places as well over the weekend.
I do see that those opening weekend numbers still show up there, but now I'm seeing MUCH HIGHER numbers for all territories and the international numbers as a whole. And it's only Wednesday. I doubt very much the Monday and Tuesday numbers are even in these "corrections".
$35.8 Million in China. $21.6 Million in the UK. $17.7 Million in France. $15.4 Million in Mexico.
These aren't bad numbers at all.
Current international total is now $159.4 Million, which is nearly $5 Million more than the US take including Monday and Tuesday. And like I said before, I don't believe these revised international numbers include anything beyond Sunday.
Take away the $25 Million it's made in the US since Sunday, and that was an opening weekend of $290 Million. On a production budget of $225 Million, this is easily a winner if it doesn't crash and burn here or internationally.
