Authorities in Squamish know this one was. Problem being in getting to this fire it is on the side of a hill.

And I don't just mean what's going on in Canada right now. I'm talking about everything that happened in California just a while back.
And many of the ones from at least the last 4 or 5 years. Maybe more... But the sheer amount of them have ramped up so hard over time.
This isn't due to climate change. We have actual activists out there that are burning down our forests in the name of Mother Nature.
Some are going to be accidental, sure. That always happened. Sometimes shit just happens and lightning strikes in an unfortunate spot that hasn't seen a lot of water recently... That always happened too.
But not this... Not this many, everywhere all at once.
Now they just burn everything down right in the streets for everyone to see and on camera. Imagine how easy it is to do it in a forest and get away with it for as long as you can keep a secret. Nobody would even know you did it, and unless you were a complete moron, even if somebody did find you relatively close to it before you could make your escape, there's a hundred different ways out of that without getting caught as long as nobody was there to film you doing it.
And the worst part is, everybody's minds are so twisted up after the Covid lockdowns, who knows if it's foreigners with a grotch doing it, or college educated kids who believe that what they are doing is the right thing. The "By Any Means Necessary" (BAMN) mentality.
My money is on most of these fires being started by white college educated kids.
And what for? To "prove" climate change? To protest Putin? To protest Israel? To protest Trump? To protest Elon? To protest ICE? To protest Tariffs?
Who even knows anymore? Who can keep up with the news headlines every day?

Oh, I know there over the years have a lot of human set ones out in the back country. People not making sure their campfires are completely out before they leave. People throwing cigarette buts out of car windows into grassy areas. Have had that happen numerous times up here.
That is why there are campfire bands all over the place and people can fined if caught for a lot of money and possible jail time. These things are felonies, pretty well all across Canada.
RCMP are asking for anyone besides the witnesses to come forward with info. They nuts probably live in the area.
As I said there are crazies everywhere but sometimes it is just for kicks.

See anybody claim credit for arson? Make a statement? The only ppl that I can imagine starting a fire and keeping it secret are ... wait for it... pyromaniacs.
