Firefly ‘Blue Ghost’ lunar lander touches down on the moon

Here's why Firefly didn't show the moment of touchdown live

Blue Ghost is equipped with high-def cameras — so why didn’t the vehicle send a live broadcast of its harrowing descent?

Ray Allensworth, head of Firefly’s Blue Ghost program, just revealed the answer.

Mission control wanted to focus the vehicle’s communications bandwidth on delivering accurate real-time data, getting information about the spacecraft’s altitude and speed.

“Even though you might have the camera capability to do live streaming, it’s not always the most practical thing to do in the moment,” Allensworth said.

There was NASA Apollo success , some what success with Soviet machines, some recent Chinese robots, lander, 'Rovers' and a sample return back to China.

and struggles

but A LOT of recent mishaps, Pirvate sector failure, partial success, missions that crashed or landed the wrong way etc
Beresheet, a Japan failure, battery fails, loss of fuel or Propellant leaks, partially functional missions, Lunar Trailblazer, Intuitive Machines Nova-C, Lunar Flashlight, Pragyan, other international missions lost in space, Peregrine Mission One, Lunar IceCube

On 2 March, Firefly Aerospace Blue Ghost 7 landed on the moon.

On 6 March, Intuitive Machines landed their 2nd lander on the moon. Like iM-1, this one also landed on it's side.

Both reportedly have Hi-Def Cameras.

Upcoming on Thursday, Earth will see a Lunar eclipse, and Moon will have a solar eclipse from Terra.

This will be the first time that 2 Hi-Def Cameras will be live-streaming an eclipse from the moon's surface.

Anybody recording these live streams at the moment will have first-ever footage of such, before NASA and AI have a chance to corrupt the video. Once the moment has passed, all yoou will have access to is whatever NASA and AI want you to see and think.

Critics have been complaining for decades about what NASA has obfuscated on the moon.

Will you be watching?

I did but I seem to recall they didn't show live video of the landing while it was landing. They wanted to focus soley on landing without incident. They wanted to get it right, to stick the landing first before worrying about anything else. The video was shared after they landed.
