I'll look into bird flu. There are a lot of aspects I don't know. For example - do cows recover from bird flu? If they do, do they acquire lifelong immunity? What about birds? If bird flu doesn't mutate very rapidly, and immunity is acquired, then we should see a reduction in the animal reservoir that could POTENTIALLY infect humans..
In the meantime, the unless you have a backyard flock of chickens or work with cows, your chance of being exposed is almost nil. Bird flu is destroyed by heat, so don't drink raw milk and dont eat raw meat.

Pretty sure I mentioned it up above, didn't I?
People are claiming that they went out into it and got sick almost immediately, showing videos of all the particles in the fog and then showing the crap that settled on it.
I know you can explain away those things. Maybe it's nothing.
I'm at the point now where everything can be faked and nothing can be trusted.
The Muslim who ran down 15 people on new years eve? The Tesla that blew up right in front of Trump Tower?
There are people in this world now with so much Fuck You money that they could pay anybody any price to do anything like this. Maybe the guy who shot the healthcare CEO too.
The kid might have got away with that and had a huge payday coming to him if he didn't get caught? He sure looked happy on that CCTV camera footage before they nabbed him. Maybe the Muslim dude was terminally ill and a bunch of money went to his family if he did that after being born here, getting education here, and being in the military before doing this? AFAIK, nobody has any clue who did the Tesla bombing. They might be sitting on a fat stack of cash right now.
We already know that tens or possibly hundreds of millions of dollars was spent by the Harris/Walz campaigns to get influencers to influence their followers into voting for her, and nobody even got a slap on the wrist for not disclosing that it was a paid advertisement. No doubt using some loophole that they can legally get away with this behavior which would be severe crimes if they were caught doing it on broadcast television.
What even is real anymore?
It's like we're all extras in the worst reality TV show they ever produced.

Fog can be incredibly polluted. Breathing in those little droplets of yuck could make anybody cough and wheeze. Most ppl have NO IDEA how polluted their air is! You'd have to have firsthand knowledge. And right now, nobody trusts anybody with post-grad knowledge bc they assume "scientists" are in on the game.
I could bore you with how that happens but I won't.
Thanks, Fauci et al.
You're right: It's incredibly hard, at this point, to sort out the normal from the engineered or faked. I depend on hearing pretty airtight explanations that correspond to my knowledge of basic chemistry, and for computer and physics related shit I depend on hubby and for biochem on my friend in the foothills.

Though we might not agree on all the specific details of how that happenD, I'm pretty sure we agree on the overall big picture enough that it would just be pointless re-hashing details.

And just wait until our computers evolve another generation or two and you really can't tell the difference at all between who is and isn't real. Have you heard the cutting edge voice AI at all recently? I'm talking now specifically of the company that used Scarlett Johannson's voice even after she backed out and told them she didn't want to do it.
Assuming what I saw of conversations with this AI are true, which obviously we shouldn't automatically be doing, it is crazy scary how convincing it is.
I think we've now hit the point where companies are better off by making sure their AI sounds like a robot because we've gotten so used to that annoyance of not being able to talk to an actual person. I don't think it's a good idea for them to start using AI that sounds so good that it can fool anybody into thinking it's human over the phone.
They don't even need AI to fool us, or at least enough of us at any given point in time. But with AI?
I'm amazed at what I see people doing with it from the comfort of their home on their middle-end PCs. I can only imagine what our military is able to do with AI with their 20 year head start on use both hardware-wise and software-wise.

My contact and knowledge are personal. My experience is personal and my logic is personal. At THIS point, I don't care how well-faked somebody is. Since I don't “believe" people I don't know personally, it makes no difference to me.

So, I've made a few New Year's... well, not exactly resolutions, more like thoughts...relating to health.
As y'all know, my health is all fucked up, thanks to cancer promoting genes (BARD1) and an immune system that apparently doesn't know WTH it's supposed to be doing.
I'll let the doctors deal with that.
But for overall... some general thoughts
It's really important to get good, deep sleep. Making that a priority!
It's important (for me) to drink plenty of H2O,thanks to kidney damage.
I plan on doing calisthenics every other day. So in addition to the dog taking me for a walk, and general yardwork and housework, I hope to build some muscle.
AFA nutrition is concerned, I have some persistent ideas or questions.
I read a book ("Aquatic Ape“) that makes a convincing argument that some time in our evolutionary past, our hominid ancestors spend an evolutionarily significant time at the seashore. Everything I've learned about human nutrition and evolution since then just reinforces that idea. It would explain, for example, our extraordinary requirements for vita A, vita D, iodine, and omega-3 (fish) oils compared to apes.
Another persistent idea is that the reason why nutritionists emphasize vegetables and fruits is to make up for the fact that the rest of our diet is for shit. Ancient humans didn't seek out green peppers and lettuce. They were looking for the most calorie dense food they could find. But THAT food ... mussels, clams, little fish, birds eggs, frogs, roots, and the occasional fruit ... was packed with nutrition. But look at the SAD (Standard American Diet). I posted Wonder Bread... how much nutrition in that? Even our meat and fish is deficient in nutrition, bc our factory farmed animals are themselves fed for shit.
"They" noticed that in certain area of the world, people live longer, healthier lives. One area was the Greek Islands, and from that "they" derived the Mediterranean Diet: while grains. Olive oil. Vegetables. Beans. A little meatand seafood.. But when they tried to reproduce it here, they didn't get the same results. One thing about the Greek Islands...at the time, people lived close to the land. They pressed their own olive oil. Gathered herbs and greens from the hillsides. Grew their own beans and made their own bread. Fed their lambs with herbs. Caught their own octopus and made their own wine. Aside from the exercise that entailed, their food was FRESH. Okinawans, while eating a different set of foods, also lived the same way. Maybe it's not the specific items but the freshness.
So
I intend to eat seafood once a week. Tuna. Wildcaught salmon. Mussels. Sardines. Herring. Squid. A variety.
I intend to eat at least two eggs once a week. People who eat eggs have lower rates if dementia, and people who eat two eggs or more are better off still.
I intend to eat berries twice a week.
I've taken to cutting up apples, sectioning grapefruit+my neighbor has an awesome tree) and peeling carrots as snacks.

Just be careful is all.
If you haven't developed "code phrases" with your husband and daughter and probably at least one ICE, out of earshot of "IoT", you really should do so.
I know you'd like to think highly enough of yourself that there's no way that anybody would ever be able to pretend they're your husband or daughter without you figuring that somebody was trying to pull a fast one on you. I think we'd all like to think that.
No sense in not arming ourselves with a powerful tool going into this though, right?
Just make sure you don't forget to "change the password" every time you use it.

Oh... and obviously it is for in case of emergency break glass purposes, those code phrases. If we're going to be worried about every little conversation and whether or not it's with people we actually think we're talking to, you'd drive them nuts if you were always burning these passwords and sticking them with new ones just to say hello.
I'm talking like if something serious comes up. Your husband went out for the day running errands and suddenly he calls you up out of the blue to ask you some seemingly innocuous, possibly tech and certainly somehow financial favor that sounds just plausible enough for you to bite.... maybe whip out the code phrase on him first before you tell him anything sensitive.
Honestly, THIS is how we're going to all get National Digital IDs if we haven't done so already. Once the tech and the criminals using it get so savvy that nobody can tell the fucking difference anymore it will be out of necessity that we voluntarily all submit to an Internet Brand because nobody will ever know if they're talking to a real person unless they're face to face with them otherwise.
It's pretty sad looking back. I remember how much excitement we shared in the late 90's and even into the 2000's when the internet was new and the potential that laid before us.
Now there's just, well... this.

Well, how am I doing with this?
I eat seafood THREE times a week, on a salad of organic greens, cucumber, tomato, a hardboiled organic egg, avocado from our tree (in season), with a little olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. The other days I eat beans on salad. The downside is that the fish are canned.
I tried mussels. I can't stomach them.
I eat oat bran once a day to help reduce my high cholesterol, which I inherited.
Other than that, I eat a small amount of meat and a generous amount of cooked veggies.
Haven't been able to work fruit into my diet for some reason, and I still snack on bread, margarine, and jam. I have a weird theory about that fat+starch combo: It's more than twice as bad as each out together. Starch prompts insul
