I was never into comics, so I don't know much about the Marvel universe, but the show is fun even if you don't know much about the canon.
I'm really loving Jessica Jones. Gonna finish it soon!

SHIELD vs. HYDRA - Hope Joss and Co. throw in some of the old Marvel drawing concepts from the early days of Shield. I don't remember the guys name right now, I have to look into it, but they were some of the best drawings and added to the intrigue/action.
I hope, at some point, they go into the history of Shield.....Sgt. Fury, etc. Cool stuff!

Joss Whedon Ticked Off Some Marvel Bigwigs By Creating Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.
It always bothers me when Joss Whedon is referred to as being the chief creative force behind "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," and not just because of everything that's come out about his workplace misconduct and toxic behavior since 2017. While he did, in fact, develop the Marvel Television show with his brother Jed Whedon and sister-in-law Maurissa Tancharoen, it was the latter duo who sculpted the series into one of the best projects to emerge from the House of Ideas since the Marvel Cinematic Universe began its industry-changing run.

What broke your heart more, Ted? The fact that Ming-Na Wen was smart enough not to attach her name to Secret Invasion even if they bothered asking her, or that Secret Invasion was the biggest streaming disaster on any platform in the history of streaming platforms?
I guess it's the new "fans" turn to be let down by the abysmal writing of anything that Disney touches now. It ain't just the "woke", but these people are terrible at their jobs. They used the idiom "The calvary is on its way", and not one single idiot running that show thought about the deeper meaning that could have meant (both missing a crossover opportunity, and letting down fans of S.H.I.E.L.D. at the same time).
Hell... they were probably instructed NOT to watch S.H.I.E.L.D. or read any books, or even see any movies for homework outside of Captain Marvel before they started writing this obvious money laundering scheme that they pretended was a $212 Million TV show. Surely, you must know by now that none of the diversity hires they put in charge of these projects are fans of the source material.
And 74 year old Samuel L. Jackson himself probably doesn't even remember the Cavalry line in the first place.
Disney+ is going to go the way of the dinosaur.
Disney knows it too, that's why they've released the 100th anniversary Disney collection for $1,500 at Walmart.com.

$1,500! In this economy? You could buy a flat-screen TV, a PS5 or new XBox and a year's online subscription with that and still have money left over. Or maybe, you'd be better off just stocking up on food or keeping that money in the bank to pay heating bills with another Joe Biden* Economy winter coming up.
The price of Disney+ just keeps going up. $13.99 per month starting in October.
How many subscribers will D+ lose in the 4th quarter? How many hundreds of Millions of dollars did it lose in the 3rd quarter?
We'll find out the answer to the 2nd question on November 14th. We'll have to wait a while for the answer to the first question.
