Does that mean we're still up and running, or does that mean we're getting shut down?

This is my favorite site, and I've made myself quite comfortable here!

As of this writing,

fireflyfans.net is fine.

Paul said that he has the updates and
he will not shutdown the site.

It remains however, that Haken is still
required to provide real contact info.

Why would anyone care about his name? This doesn't seem like a big deal at all, as long as he can keep his domain. This site is very excellent.

I think it's Haken personal info
would include:

his name
his address
his phone number
and anything else that he puts in there...
Isn't that what that ICANN p3.3.1.6 sez?

Besides, having a realname to match up
with an online name is almost as good
as getting all of your personal info.
You can dig up so much more with a realname.

That's right, right now that's all
being posted on the whois DB.
Including phone number and fax number.
I personally wouldn't care for all
of that posted on that.

What's worst. spammers troll the
whois DB for email addresses.
The dumbest thing that I have ever
seen is getting slew and slew of
spam and then getting the stupid
spam from the spammer telling me
how effective their emailing list
is - would I like to buy into it.

You know what, one day, I think I
will take them up on their offer.
Then find out who these bastards
are, where they live, and splat
that all over the net.

All I am saying is that if I had to choose between receiving spam and closing down this site, I would bend over and accept the spam.

This site is worth bending over for. Life's a bitch, and you have to choose your battles. Firefly is worth fighting for, but I wouldn't lose sleep over some email spam. He could use a yahoo email for that matter.
