The last time that Russians invaded Europe at an excruciatingly slow pace, as it is once again doing in Ukraine, 27,000,000 Russians died. Does Russia want more citizens to die now than in WWII? Then Russians should keep fighting the way they have in Ukraine. Or Russia can bring out the nukes and kill 146,420,000 Russians on the same day.

6ix, are you seeing the pattern? That the US spends money because of Russia? If Russia was run by sensible people who didn't say on a daily basis that they were going to nuke the US, the US wouldn't be spending all this money.
Funny thing is that North Korea, which only exists because Russia set it up, is also swearing it, too, will nuke the US and/or South Korea. The US has gotten into another habit of spending to protect South Korea from the Russian-inspired Kim Family in North Korea.
The average Russian or North Korean could become as rich as the average Canadian, but only if Russia or North Korea stopped squandering lives and money on H-bombs. Canada never built any H-bombs, which is a very sensible way for Canada to go about its business. Russia and North Korea should copy that behavior and grow rich. But those two will probably stay stupid, build H-bombs, and remain poor.
