Estimates of Ukrainian and Russian dead and wounded, sources and analysis (appx 1st 30 minutes)
Its what I remembered: BBC estimates 12,000 Russians killed, with an appx 40-60pct undercount comes out to 20,000. Not 200,000. NYT gets that from the WH/State/CIA, which gets that figure from Kiev.
Heard an interesting comment that the NYT is State Dept preferred outlet, while WaPo is the CIA's. Not sure if true, but it would be interesting to track.

The foundation for any kind of political discussion is a common agreement of basic facts. A basic fact of this war is that Russia started it. It spent months massing troops and equipment on Ukraine's border, denying that it planned to invade; then it invaded.
