Any New Films You Want To See In 2022?

I assume 'Violent Night' is this year

$20 Million for opening weekend on a horror movie that isn't a big franchise like Halloween is pretty impressive, and it's the first movie to crack $20 Million domestically since Bullet Train came out.
I have to say they've done a good job with the radio advertising. I've heard ads for it for a few weeks every day and they made them creepy and intriguing.
My hope is that it's up to The Ring caliber. Sounds like it has some plot beats in common with Denzel Washington's 1998 flick Fallen, which I also rank extremely high on the Horror genre list.
Maybe nobody here has, but people are going to see it. It did 80% better than The-Numbers predicted it would do in its 2nd weekend and crushed Lyle, Lyle Crocodile, which The-Numbers thought would have an easy win for the weekend.
With only a 22% drop from its debut to its second weekend, it's the lowest 2nd week drop since Sing 2 came out in December of last year.
Smile, which came out two weeks before Halloween Ends beats HE at the box office the weekend before Halloween. Smile also beat Halloween Ends in it's 2nd weekend at the box office, and currently holds a $32 Million dollar advantage over it. Unlike Smile, which only saw a 22% drop in its second weekend, Halloween Ends saw an 80% drop, followed Halloween weekend by a 52% drop in its 3rd weekend compared to Smile's 40% drop in its 5th.
It sounds like people hate the "last" Halloween flick, but I'm sure the fact that Jamie Lee Curtis turned out to be a woke dipshit in her final years didn't do the film any favors. Her twitter feed is almost as bad as Rob Reiner's.
So sad.

I finally saw Smile. I was entertained.
I was right. Very much in common with Fallen. And though I didn't feel it was The Ring caliber it was also very much like The Ring. To me, this is a good thing since The Ring and Fallen are two of my all time favorite horror flicks.
It tried SO hard to be both of them, and for most of the movie it was actually succeeding. I won't spoil anything, but let's just say I'm REALLY hoping that there was an alternate ending filmed and that we get a Director's cut or something that has it included.
I mean... It was fine. But up until the last 15 minutes I thought I was going to have this in my top 5 horror movies ever made, but IMO it didn't stick the landing. It's still very good, but without a great alternate ending floating around out there it did not reach Greatness.
I'd never heard of Sosie Bacon until this flick came out, but it should be said that she's a fantastic actress and watching her act is worth the price of admission alone.

Smile doesn't even make it in the top 150 movies of the year where Disney's Strange World makes 149?
How does that happen? Are there certain requirements to make this list that Smile didn't meet?
Without Smile on the list, I've only seen 2 of the movies of this top 150 of 2022 and I'm quite proud of that fact. However, Number 2 on the list "Everything Everywhere All At Once" is the other movie from 2022 that I still intend to see.
I'm kind of disappointed in myself for having seen Black Adam (which did admittedly have a few LOL moments in it), but my dad and my brother wanted to watch it when I was down visiting him and I have to negotiate with them and trade off what I want to watch vs what they want to watch. I usually would choose not watching anything, but that's not an option down there.
My trade for Black Adam was Christmas Vacation though, so I was happy with it.
