According to a source close to the production, Pixar's next feature film, "Lightyear" — starring Chris Evans as the putative real-life inspiration for the "Toy Story" character Buzz Lightyear — does feature a significant female character, Hawthorne (voiced by Uzo Aduba), who is in a meaningful relationship with another woman. While the fact of that relationship was never in question at the studio, a kiss between the characters had been cut from the film. Following the uproar surrounding the Pixar employees' statement and Disney CEO Bob Chapek's handling of the "Don't Say Gay" bill, however, the kiss was reinstated into the movie last week.

Good luck, Disney shareholders.

TIP OF THE DAY: As the future Ex-CEO of Disney, Bob Chapek's job not only didn't entail any "handling" of the Anti-Groomer bill in Florida, but it wasn't even in his preview or power in the first place.

You'll learn, Disney...

Eventually.

Hopefully it takes you so long that you can get your stock back to mid-80's prices and I can get rich quick by gobbling them up on the cheap before you finally turn it around.

Disney hasn't met them with most of their recent flicks, especially the Marvel trash they've been putting out.

Let's see how badly they want to stop losing money. If they put any Leftist agenda shit in there you can bet that they're going to have their first Toy Story branded loser on their hands.

6ix, you don't have money, which is why Disney doesn't produce entertainment to please you. You are worthless to Disney unless you have money to buy a ticket. That is how free market capitalism has always worked.

Disney’s decision to oppose Florida’s “don’t say gay” law is all about appealing to Disney’s consumers. Republicans who most yearn to make America “great” again — aging, rural, white men — are at the bottom of the consumer totem pole and lack the financial clout to swing the free market. Conservatives just can’t handle the fact that their political ideology is toxic to people who buy tickets for Disney World and Disney movies.

I love it when time passes...

Lightyear didn't even place 1st in its opening weekend. I guess Disney didn't make it for anybody.

Darn those toxic white males who didn't go to see it!!!!

I guess the market that Disney panders to just torrented it like you did, you pirate.

Lightyear takes 2nd place to the Jurassic world reboot sequel trash movie that's been out for 2 weeks and almost takes third place behind Top Gun: Maverick which has been out for 7 weeks already.

Disney is sitting at over $94 per share right now, which is half of what it was worth back in September of last year.

How do you suppose running another one of its biggest properties into the ground is going to treat shareholders come next week?

I dunno. Somethin' somethin' gay this or that to show Governor DeSantis what a big white male evil meanie he was or somethin'.

Second seemed to think it was super special two months ago.

Second torrented the movie and didn't pay for it. Either that, or Second didn't bother seeing it because even woke critics are giving it a 70% on RT.

This despite sporting gobs of empty virtue-signalling theaters, while cinemas are turning away paying customers due to full seats in their buildings.

At my local cinema, I noticed this gay robot dog drivel from Walt Gayness World had 18 showings per day, while dinosaurs and Maverick were each down to 12 showings per day. Downton had 2.

I had not really planned to see Maverick again in cinema, but I decided that was the perfect thing to do when outside was 100* and muggy.

Oops.

By 5pm, all of the shows for the day were Sold Out for Maverick, up to 11pm.
One show of dinosaurs was Sold Out, and the next one had 3 seats, neckbreakers.
None of the cartoons were Sold Out, all day.
And this gay robot dog grooming flik had a long string of shows listed, none of them Sold Out the whole day.

I realized I have never seen the Box Office at this cinema list Maverick without having multiple Sold Out shows.
But this theater had to get rid of screens of Sold Out Mavericks to make way for this gay robot dog dreck.

Numerous folk at the Box Office were stuck, asking questions about when open shows were going to be. When I turned around and left, I noticed a steady stream of dozens of others going the reverse way out of the Box Office, having also been unable to find open seats in anything except this Walt Gayness World's indoctrination seminar.
This felt weird, flowing with crowds from the front Box Office instead of from the exit doors of the Cineplex. Don't recall seeing anything like it, except maybe during Star Wars weeks.

Now that I think about it, don't recall hearing a single person inquire about seating availability for gay robot dog. For all I know, those screens might be all cavernous echo Chambers.

Cinema turning away droves of customers trying to throw money at them, but they opted instead to book ghost theaters of this Walt Gayness World disaster.
Because Maverick has more Sold Out shows than it's Opening Week, I wonde

Don't Worry Darling looks interesting.

Chris Pine and Director Olivia Wilde. Olivia worked with Jennifer Morrison on House, who then became Chris Pine's mom in Star Trek.

Lightyear comes in 5th place for its second weekend and it wasn't even close.

Number 4 looks to be some dumb horror flick called The Black Phone that was shown in more than 1,100 less theaters than Lightyear was shown in.

Where are you at, Second?

Come and take your lumps.
