I think you just heat a chunk of it and it can naturally make crystals, then people sell it to some hippie market or store. It might be used for industry or medical reasons and replaces Lead chemical element symbol Pb which is toxic.

Oh, it just popped up as a topic bc we were watching SG-1 and the Tok'ra caves look a little like bismuth. And then I remembered watching a video of a guy who made a kitchen knife of bismuth.
Why? you ask. To see if he could, I guess!
Oh, you meant "why did I watch a guy make a knife out of bismuth?"
I guess bc once I saw how awesome the metal looked, I had to see what a knfie would look like.
