After having to exchange S3 because of scratches on loose discs, I always shake mine to make sure none are loose before I buy it. I did this with the S6 DVD set I bought at Costco (only place I found it for less than $40), none were loose, but my Disc 1 was still defective, it wouldn't even load up in the DVD player. When I went back to Costco to exchange it, they were out. So now I'm stuck with no Buffy S6 unless I want to pay $45, or wait to find a cheap used set on Ebay or half.com or something. Argh.

I had the same problem with after life. I figured out it will play in my PS2 though. I am really dissappointed with season six. I had problems with disk 3 and with the episode after life.

Weird, I haven't had problems with any of my DVDs.
The only real beef I have is the packaging. I wish they were sturdier - like the LotR extended packaging. Have you seen those things? Tough buggers, more sturdy.

I had some problems with my second disc on my DVD player. I then tried my computer's DVD player and it worked perfectly.

Well, I bought Buffy season 2, eagerly opened it when I got home, and found that it had not one disc.
Had to drive back and stand in line to exchange it, thank god they believed me!! :(
When I picked out a new one, I made sure to open it right then and check. This one, however, had broken disc-holders (the things in the center that hold the discs in were missing prongs), so I asked if I could swap the dvds into the other case, and they let me. So I got a good case and I got my discs.

I had to return Angel S2 because of the loose disk thing. A couple of weeks ago I bought Angel S1 and Buffy S1 and opened them right there at Bestbuy before leaving the store. I had to replace Buffy. I now have Buffy S 1-5 and am planning on buying B S6 next week. I hope it goes ok. As for the playability, Buffy S2 kinda chuggs in my XBOX. It seems the episodes on the 2nd half of the disks are worse. The more action on the screen..the more it chuggs...almost skipping along. Its really anoying.
I also noticed that B S1 looks better than S2. The episodes on S2 are really grainy. Are they better now? Is S1 better because I just got it? If I bought S2 now, would it be better quality than the versoin I have?...hmmmm.
